Watershed Hotel

We spent one night in this modern new hotel that sits beside a river. The friendly owner manager checked us in, and we were impressed by the lobby with its high ceilings and industrial style decor. It's obvious the owner takes great pride in her establishment, and chatted with me about her history. She also helps raise guide dogs for children and had one with her at the desk. We had the very spacious corner room 207, and it had a lovely view. The bathroom was spacious as well, and we enjoyed the modern shower. The only thing the room really needed was another nightstand, as there was only one next to the bed, and the small patio could use more seating. The bed was comfortable, and had quality linens. The hotel is quiet and laid back. The free continental breakfast in the AM served in the lobby included breads, yogurt, instant oatmeal, fruit and a few other cold items. Coffee was always available in the lobby. There was plenty of parking next door. If there is any downside, it might be the location which is a drive from any shops or restaurants. If ever in Sheboygan again we would stay here, and ask for a river view room again on the backside of the hotel.

Check in was easy, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and this modern hotel has a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the river. Our room was clan and spacious. We were pleased with our stay and will return next time we are in the area.

We arrived and no one was at the front desk. We had to search for her and eventually found her. Check in after that went fine. Then my dad and I get to the room and as soon as we take the pillows off the couch to fold it out into a bed, we find a men’s shirt and the tv remote beneath the couch cushions. Big ick. I went to tell the front desk lady and she did nothing but apologize. I go back down a second time because I realize that I need new sheets for the couch because it clearly was not cleaned. She gave me new sheets and tells me there was a wedding party in this room, which makes it a bit worse. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Between searching for staff and clear cleaning errors, there are much better places to stay. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a group block for our son’s wedding, when we got home more than half the rooms booked have a case of Covid. The guest who were local and the ones who stayed at an Airbnb all seem to be healthy. It’s only the guest who stayed at the Watershed that got sick.
