Angela Suites Boutique Hotel

We needed a short break and was tempted by the reviews which suggested this was a comfortable and friendly hotel near a nice Greek village. We were not disappointed. We have stayed at lots of large 5 star hotels but what sets this hotel apart is the friendly vibe from both from the staff and everyone around the pool. In a hotel with only 30 rooms you will soon make friends at breakfast and around the pool. Lots of laughs and sharing of trips and experiences was great and just a warm and relaxing atmosphere. No rush for sun beds and rooms were well appointed (maybe apart from the hairdryer !). Sissi is a pretty little village with a few lovely tavernas and bars and a small port. From here you can buses into aghios Nicholas as well as other local areas. We had great fun at taverna Amelia and a lovely meal at taverna Anatolia with many returning a second time. We watched the sunset from coba bar and a lovely pit spot drinks at bars along the coast. Enjoy if you go

We were thrilled to visit Angela Boutique Hotel for the second year in a row and it did not disappoint. We were warmly welcomed again (and kindly remembered) by Kostas and Manos and very well looked after by George, Christina, Kostas, Catherine and Lefty. Seeing the same friendly and efficient staff every year is special. Thank you for looking after us. The hotel kindly honoured our room requests sent in advance. We were pleased to be helped with our luggage and offered a welcome juice drink. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the rooms and the daily servicing of the room. Breakfast is delicious and mostly met our requirements however the selection is modest for a 5 Star hotel, but what can you expect for a small hotel? I cannot imagine how much food waste there would be if the selection expanded greatly. The public areas are clean and relaxing. We love the large sunshades and never had to fight for a sun bed! The vibe around the pool is relaxed and fairly quiet. Easy to relax to the sounds of palm trees swishing in the lovely Cretan breeze, cicadas and the Ibiza chill music on low volume at the bar. The location is good and quiet with just a 5-10 minute walk from the harbour, tavernas and bars. My suggestions for improvements are that I would love a larger selection of coffees at breakfast eg latte and cappuccino. At the very least, a bigger milk jug and the choice of hot milk with the coffee would be an improvement. And some cold milk readily available on the counter if you want to help yourself to more (or for cereals). Some chopped nuts/granola for the yogurt would be nice too. And the choice of an alternative juice than just orange, Some air conditioning downstairs in the shower room and toilet area would have made getting ready to travel home in the afternoon so much more comfortable!

Fantastic small hotel - immaculately clean and staff are amazing very friendly - best we have ever experienced compared to many Greek islands Definately recommend the food - great variety and choices and great service We have had a lovely week - we have really enjoyed the hotel and Sissi we will be back
