Stellina Hotel

Dirty hotel, they dont change towels, bathroom was near moldy. The air-conditioner did not work, people put towels on the sunbeds and reserved them all day while in town!!! Bedroom was noisy and dusty. Stains on the pillow and sheets. Pool area was good, breakfast was not good ended up eating somewhere else during some days. Man in pool bar was the only good thing

Lovely hotel just outside skiathos town just 5 minutes from the airport, we stayed her for a week , where greeted by friendly staff , I can say none of them where rude, clean room , but would ask for a lower floor room next time as the balcony was very small , pool area clean and breakfast adequate, could have been warm , on the whole loved the hotel

We stopped here for a week on a bed and breakfast basis. Typical family run small Greek hotel, fairly basic accommodation. 10-15min walk into the centre of Skiathos. The building and grounds are showing their age and could do with a face lift. However the staff are excellent and try their best to make your stay very enjoyable. Breakfast buffet is basic but always fresh and enough to to set you up for the day. The gent at the pool bar is very friendly and I shared a good few drinks with him. The draft Mythos in iced glasses is the best in Skiathos. Good sized and deep swimming pool, and they had a lot of new sunbeds delivered when we were there. Good sun terrace and pool area but showing its age, but a good base to explore the island. The airport runway is very close but you get used to the planes landing and taking off, a great view from the 3rd floor to see them coming into land. We enjoyed our stay here but don't expect luxury, its the staff that make it enjoyable. There was a small (old) fridge in the room that worked OK and safety deposit boxes in reception F.O.C. Free WiFi was also available in most areas around the hotel. We had a room on the 2nd Floor with a very small balcony looking towards Skiathos town. Great for afternoon sun. There doesn't appear to be any air-conditioning anywhere in the hotel, so it can get very warm. The Hotel is 2 star at most, but the staff are 4 star.

We had a lovely holiday staying at Stellina. The staff couldn’t do enough and were so friendly. Room was spotlessly clean with sheets and towels changed every other day. The view from the balcony was amazing, pool and sea view and was a great spot for watching planes landing and taking off. Lovely big pool with lots of sunbeds and lovely pool bar. Located just 10 minutes walk from the port in Skiathos Town. Would definitely return.

Just returned from a week at Stellina and after reading all the reviews I have to say we were pleasantly surprised! We were initially allocated a twin room (we’d booked a double) but when I spoke to Maria (the lovely manager) she upgraded us to a family room straight away. Yes the rooms are basic and a bit dated BUT it’s a 2 star hotel that doesn’t pretend to be anything other than that! The room was cleaned and fresh sheets supplied daily. The pool area and bar were superb, really good sized pool and Yannis at the bar was wonderful! Breakfast again was basic but perfectly fine and the whole dining area/bar were spotlessly clean. The thing that made our stay worth every penny was the staff, they were all amazing 🤩 Maria was the most wonderful host and made us feel so welcome as did Katerina, but our star award goes to Debbie on reception. She could not have done more for us, she made sure we had everything we needed, was constantly harassing taxi drivers if they were late and gave us lots of recommendations. All these people truly went above and beyond and made our stay special - thank you all so much.

Stellina Hotel is an older Hotel with fine facilities. It's a bit run down all over, but we are not that fancy and consider our selves, to be pretty easy to make happy. The ladies at the desk is very friendly and they were trying to meet our demands the best they could. The pool is nice and even better is the Pool bar guy Janis. He is the friendliest man you can come across and he gives great advice for restaurants and areas.. He gets 5 stars for sure! ❤️ He lifted the experience from 2 stars to 3 stars allover. The snack bar / lunch at the pool was closed for the first 4 days and the breakfast was pretty simple for the first days as well. We were surprice that suddenly it was open for the last 3 days and the breakfast got a face-lift for the remaining days as well, wich we felt was too bad, as we think this should have been the same, for the whole stay. The rooms is pretty run down, and they are very loud, with very bad beds.. We didn't get much good sleep due to noise and feeling the springs every time we turned around. The sunbeds at the pool gave better comfort 😔 Our double bed, was 2 singles put together with some blankets in the middle, to try to even it out, due to the reception giving out room to other guests by an error 😔 This took a bit of the romance away for us 🤥 We had to request one madress change, as it should have been thrown out years ago. When we said it at the reception, they changed it the day after, so thumbs up for trying. 👍 The cleaning maids woke us up in the middle of the day 3 out of 7 days, wich was supricing and a bit frustrating for us.. Usually they have a finger on the pulse in hotels, for when to do the work, without interfering with the guests having "Siesta", when the sun is simply to hot. Here a "don't disturb / please clean my room" sign on the door, could be a simple solution. When we complained about this, the reception ladies were very friendly and tried to compensate their best by giving some free traits, to make our stay better.. All in all the hotel is okay, with great lokation close to town and supermarket, but all over, we must admit to be a little disappointed, thinking about the value for money.
