First off I'm wicked easy going and it took me a couple days thinking about if I was going to write a review or not. But I could not, not write a review and keep my conscience clean. First off the gentleman that checked me in was very very nice he just had a stroke last year but was so helpful and kind. Finally after three tries I was able to get into a room with my two little Pomeranians. It took almost 40 minutes for us to get into a room. The first room the bathroom fan was squeaking so loud that it scared the dogs so the bathroom was going to be unusable. Back downstairs I went from the third floor, he gave me another room and another key. This key didn't work back downstairs I went again. This time he decided to come up with me I felt bad but he was a very nice man in my father had a stroke a couple of years ago so we chatted it up. The key didn't work again so he put me in a third room that I finally was able to get in. By this time it was late and I was exhausted. So I really didn't get to look at the room. It took quite a while for the room to get heated as it was cold outside and their heater only pushes a little bit of air out at a time. This room was beyond filthy I don't think it had been cleaned since the last person stayed in it maybe a year ago. There was dog pee all on the bottom of the table base, dead bugs around the room and bathroom, stains on the trash can, stains on the door, then I went to take a shower and there was some goo on the handle, I ran the water from almost 15 minutes and it finally got Luke warm cool and I jumped in really quickly and out as I was shivering. At this point I started getting sick gagging and throwing up a bit. It might have been the air quality in the filth. When I checked out I showed the photos that I am posting here to the new desk clerk giving him a chance for a reimbursement. As I told him about the room showed in the pictures and told him that I left a nice tip in the room for the house cleaning person to give it a good scrub. All he did was ask what rooms I tried to get in and wrote it down on a running list of things to do. Then I went outside to put my little dogs in the car and realized I couldn't find my receipt even if I was given one I don't remember because of the chaos thinking I'll give him a second chance to reimburse my money. All he did was give me my receipt and said thanks. I may have skipped the bad review if they had reimbursed me showing that they really were sorry and would do better. But no. This place should be shut down for a period of time given a thorough cleaning and then open back up to the public and try to get some type of reputation back, it really is a great location for people traveling down south from North. But with all these bad reviews I'm sure that the patronage is very sparse. There is no breakfast, the rooms have no coffee, the remote controls are taped together with blue tape and they don't work. For the price that I paid and the hotel that I'm stayin
