Super 8 by Wyndham Sonora

This was an excellent little motel. Everything is freshly updated. The room was spotless thanks to Aimee W. For doing such a good job of cleaning it! We don’t normally stay in motels, but this one was top notch. They even had beautiful oversized art in the rooms. We would definitely stay again!

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, The decor was modern with good lighting in the room. Breakfast was hot and substantial. It included sausage, eggs, French toast as well as cold cereal options. The hotel was safe, quiet, and Lyla N had it spotlessly clean.

The HVAC system in my room was extremely loud and couldn't sleep. The night shift guy was rude and lack of custom service skills. The morning shift lady was fine. But I would avoid Super 8 Sonora in the future due to poor sleep quality. Other choices around in town.

It was very nice. The hotel room was very clean. Thank you Dallas for a job well done. I loved that I had plenty of wash cloths and towels and my room very spacious and I had everything I needed for my three days and two nights there. The breakfast was good, cleanly presented. If I’m ever in the area again I would choose Super 8. Thank you for making my travel like home.

Third time staying at this place and it never disappoints. You have easy access to your room, quiet location, and staff is always great. There is also easy access to the main exit along with the restaurant options in town. A big thank you to Dallas for the clean room when we arrived.

A good and clean room Cleaned by Nevea She did a good job, making sure the room was up to standard and the bed was crisp and clean. There was plenty of towels. Everything was neat and orderly no dust on anything. Nothing on the carpet. The refrigerator was clean and the room smelled good.

The staff were great and the bed was comfortable. HOWEVER, the AC was loud and did not run constantly, so it would shut off in the middle of the night and wake us up. Over and over. If you can sleep without AC or have earplugs, then it should be fine.

I drove into Sonora about 10:15 on Saturday night, May 4, from a couple hours to the southeast, where I had some business to take care of that weekend. There was a Cinco de Mayo festival in progress, and I could hear the Tejano bands playing right down the road from the Super 8 at the county civic center. They were supposed to play til 1 am, so I definitely would've gone down and checked it out. (Next year I will, and so should you. And there's lots of other outdoorsy stuff to do in that part of Texas: caverns, kayaking, camping, hunting, bird-watching.) But unfortunately I was no sooner in my room than a violent electrical storm hit town from the west. I learned next day the fiesta-goers had had to cut it short and pack up all their booths and activities. There was incessant lightning and some of it hit really close. The skies opened, I reckon Sonora probably got 3" of rain in the next hour. That's a lot for that part of the country, so it's always welcome. But it was quite a spectacle, so I just stood in the doorway of my [fortunately east-facing] room and marveled. But enough of the travel/weather drama. My room was just immaculate, far better-kept than I'm accustomed to in budget hotels - even if they are on the interstate. Everything - the floors, the bathroom, the fridge, the bed - was spotless. It was five-star housekeeping at a 'budget' motel! The housekeeper even left her name on a card: 'Rosea, C.' It was so nice, I'll look for excuses to stop at the Sonora Super 8 on future travels.

The Preparation of this room was excellent and my wife and I felt welcomed. The bed was nice and tidy. As far as cleanliness goes, this room exceeded our expectations. We have nothing but compliments for this super 8. Thank you Dallas for you hard work. We look forward to next time!
