First time in Tunisia. 1 week stay as a couple. Hotel very nice interior and grounds. Clean and well kept. Room 608 sea view- comfortable bed, big shower room/toilet and basin. Bath robes and slippers. Hairdryer shampoo conditioner shower gel supplied. Liquid hand soap and moisturiser. Safe, plenty of space for clothes (unless you take far too much like me)! Bottled water left each day with room cleaning. I stored in the mini fridge. Lovely view from balcony. Food-a lot to choose from, basic and would cover most palates. (Although not like 5* Caribbean etc.) Main dining area wasn’t really an issue, but poolside bar no covers on food, doors left open to flies. Sadly I had an extremely upset stomach on 3rd day and lasted 8 days (with a sample sent to the labs by my GP, awaiting results). 2 days in the hotel room, the last 2 days spent not too far from a toilet! Alcohol- didn’t expect top shelf but no Malibu (they’ve never heard of coconut rum). Only a few cocktails, none of which tasted like any I’ve had before. Kept to soft drinks only, then water when I had the upset stomach. My other half mostly had beer and the odd whiskey. For several days I only ate dried biscuits and dried cake just to keep the hunger at bay. Pool- we used main pool which we really enjoyed. I’m an early riser, so beds not an issue. Beach- went to the beach one day. Very clean toilets here, well looked after and kept spotless. Beach bar and facilities very good. Pool bar, very busy, good service but sadly lack of choice from “usual” spirits and cocktails”. First all inclusive we’ve been on that this has happened. No info on layout of hotel, where everything is. It was a find out yourself mission. Entertainment- very poor for the amount of people and the space available in hotel and grounds. We were very bored in the evenings. There are so many possibilities for improvements. So many big spaces inside/outside under utilised. Violinist one night on the veranda. Very talented but… the choice of music very somber and depressing. Upbeat music around the pool, evenings would be much appreciated. Couples would be up dancing etc. The entertainment that was on, was only on briefly. This was a huge disappointment for us. Daytimes good, evenings boring. All staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Overall a relaxing break but unfortunately hindered by me having an extremely bad stomach.

Overview: I recently stayed at The Jaz Tour Khalef and I feel it is important to set expectations from the outset – I believe that Tunisia and UK have different ideas to what a 5 star hotel is and in my opinion, I would say this hotel is a “Good 4 Star” The location was really nice, right on the beachfront with great sea views – The hotel is much bigger than anticipated and at times became quite busy in certain areas – There were a few minor “decorative issues” however I don’t want to be picky because it was a really nice hotel and we had a really nice stay. Rooms: The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable albeit on the harder side with enough pillows to suit - Our room was a suite with 2 bathrooms, the main bathroom was impressive, with a selection of toiletries, the 2nd was just a toilet and sink. Food: The buffet restaurant offered a great selection of food daily however it was quite similar on each day. The breakfast buffet was more focussed on the European Pallet with loads of fresh fruit, meat, cheeses, omelettes and eggs to suit with fresh baked breads to accompany – Fresh juices/shakes being created every morning having a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. At main mealtimes, the food was hot and many items cooked fresh in front of you. Being quite fussy, I always found something to suit even if it was reverting to the freshly cooked Pizza and Chips. Beef, Chicken and Fish were the main staple, with full fish, burgers, steak, rotisserie chicken etc. The cakes were fresh and very tasty with a selection of ice cream as a side. There was an à la carte restaurant at the hotel called L’Oliveraie (I think) This needs to be booked with the head waiter at the buffet entrance. I myself had a bad experience in here however I won’t let that spoil my overall review of this hotel but I need to explain - You need to book the type of food you wanted, either Fish or Beef – We both chose the beef option. When our started "finally" arrived, it was a plate of beef carpaccio and a plate of octopus carpaccio – I don’t like fish and I don’t like raw food, so this wasn’t a great start – There were also a few small bowls of food – One looked like onion rings so I tried these only to find out it was Calamari which lost my interest. I won’t go on any more except to say that when the main meal arrive (fillet steak) we left and ate in the buffet restaurant. The management were very apologetic and did their utmost to make amends the following day. Staff: My stay was made memorable, largely due to the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and efficient, assisting with check-in and addressing any questions I had. Best vacation I have with my family to be fair I feel very great over here the hotel very beautiful and clean all the stuff look after us the lifeguards waiters in reception welcoming for us I feel very comfortable here food was nice and drinks is good I appreciate all the workers here specially the lifeguards and security.

We are 9 ladies returning to this beautiful hotel for the 3rd time, celebrating a 50th birthday and what a wonderful welcome back we received. We were greeted with huge smiles from Fredji, who seated us with welcome drinks, whilst they arranged are rooms which were very spacious, spotlessly clean, lovely modern bathroom. The birthday girl was treated with some lovely petals and towel decorations in her room, thanks also to Moez for arranging this. We find the beds a little hard, however just ask reception for a couple of extra duvets to put on top and it’s just perfect. Rooms were cleaned daily - lovely friendly maids. The guys at the pool bar welcomed us back with open arms, they can’t do enough for you, making sure you have whatever you need, from preparing special cocktails and keeping you hydrated with bottled water. Shout out to Baccar, Marouene, Krifi, Karim, Anis & Fehri such lovely lovely people. The infinity pool is so picturesque and serene, with wonderful views out to sea, The beds are so comfortable with plenty of parasols for shade. The pool and surrounding areas were in well looked after. Always saw them collecting cups and sweeping up throughout the day, and the gardeners potting around, handing out fresh flowers. We had no issues getting sunbeds as we were down there chilling by 8:00, but the pool boys are always on hand to sort these for you. The beach is beautiful, soft white sand and plenty of beds, again the waiters here run around after you, to ensure you have a relaxing day. The toilet facilities by the beach are spotless a lovely friendly lady there keeping on top of things and she decorates with beautiful fresh flowers daily The main restaurant is very spacious, food was lovely and a great variety to choose from. You will not go hungry. The waiters here work so hard to look after you, are very attentive and always smiling. Special mention to Aymen who went over a beyond every night to ensure everything was perfect, which it always was -lovely table decorations for the birthday girl and a yummy birthday cake thank you so much. I would recommend booking the Al la Carte restaurants, the Italian was lovely, a beautiful setting and so nice to get the excellent table service. The Terrace bar was a great place to chill after a day by the beach / pool, to enjoy a lovely cocktail, thanks to Hammadi who was always on hand to arrange a table and serve our drinks, topping them up without even having to ask -so lovely The Entertainment team - what a great bunch, always had time to come over and have a chat with us, they work so hard to make sure you’re having a good time - shout out to Mambo, Lolli, Joe, Sam, Falta, Yoss, Marco. Foam party was great fun. To sum up we had the most wonderful relaxing time at Jaz Tour - beautiful surroundings with gorgeous friendly staff that make this hotel the amazing place it is, We will be back ❤️

Not long returned from a weeks stay at this amazing hotel, traveled with another female friend. Arrived late at night around 11pm and was told to make our way to the restaurant before checking in where a small selection of food was, check in was quick, welcome drink given, staff very polite and welcoming, forms for be completed, room keys and information regarding the hotel given and shown to our room by a lovely gentleman who i unfortunately didn’t get his name who also took our bags, also another lovely touch was being given a fresh jasmine necklace on arrival, as I appreciate this will not be to everyone’s taste but it smells amazing and was also given another by the gentleman who took our bags during the week. Rooms we had two double garden view rooms in block C next door to each other,my friends room had been set up with rose petals and towel art on the bed however mine did not, rooms a decent size with large balcony, bathrooms very modern and lovely shower, very large bed,bottles of water given daily and great storage, only downside is the rooms had an extra bed next to the main bed which did get in the way with only one adult staying in the room it took up space, I did ask this to be removed however it wasn’t done. My balcony door didn’t look nowhere was on the 4th floor so not a massive deal,Air con in the rooms wasn’t fantastic, was a nice coolness as you walked in however we had mainly 38degrees and felt it wasn’t amazing and could of been cooler in the rooms, I’m a warm person and found it very hot over night. We did pay for late check out which 150 td I believe, we had to move rooms to the ground floor, we were helped with our bags, the room was big and great until we needed to leave however it smelt musky and there is only one lift in that side of the building which only goes from rooms on level 3 upwards which meant us having to carry 2 heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs when we left. Food was great, was unfortunately unable to book the Italian al a carte as was fully booked, we were told on arrival we had to book the day before we wished to visit however they were booking days ahead. Main buffet caters for everyone, fresh fish and meat, deserts lovely and actually tasty unlike some hotels which just taste sweet, salad options, traditional Tunisian options, and anti pasti available, breakfast has the option of fresh omelettes and eggs amongst other options such as pancakes, waffles, pastries. Only discovered towards the end of the visit that the outside seating area had fresh meat on the bbq. Snack bar however only ate there once as found a lot of the food had flies landing on which put us off. Waiters Ben and Sahbi looked after us in the morning and evenings, Ben always had our table ready for us in the evening and Sahbi was lovely in the morning bringing up fresh juices.
