This review is for a stay that should have been if it were not for the Sierra Snowmageddon of 2021. We booked through ******* and were scheduled to be in South Lake Tahoe from December 26th - 30th for Unit 13. I was on pins and needles watching the weather report for two weeks prior to see if we could make it between two storms. This was our extended family vacation trip (my family + my brother's family) and we wanted it to happen. We saw a chance and took off early on Dec 26th only to be turned by back by highway patrol. Heavenly Valley Townhomes was in communication with us the entire weekend. Throughout our drive up, Heavenly Valley Townhomes was texting us to be careful and gave us great advice in case we were stuck on the road for an extended period. They were so kind and patient with us. The next day, we kept watch on the news and US50 was still closed throughout the whole day. The owners of Unit 13 asked us what we'd like to do with our reservation and offered to cancel and return the entire amount to us because the roads were impassible. We really wanted to stay in South Lake Tahoe for the Christmas break but it was not meant to be. However, the silver lining to this ordeal was the great service and communication and understanding by Heavenly Valley Townhomes. I was very grateful for their advice and understanding.
