Motel 6 Springfield, MO - North

Do not stay at this motel 6. You will share your stay with hundreds of friends. The shower 🚿 will have a few cockroaches 🪳🪳 to keep you company and to help you wash your back. You can see daylight peeking through the front door and you better check all of your clothes bags and possessions for hitchhikers that will make your next destination hate you forever. I was afraid to sleep in the bed out of fear of bed 🪲🪲🪲 bugs. Luckily there weren't any. A lot of poor people live there and though my room was non-smoking, people ind the rooms to my right and left sloked a lot the smell and smoke came right though the ac and the crack on the door. I would have taken pictures, but i was too creeped out.

Probably the worse motel i have ever stayed at. As you enter the motel there is like 10-15 in the driveway begging for money who also live at the motel then as you enter in the gate and office door there is all kinds of safety notices, the front desk staff was nice when we checked in. When we pulled around to our to room my wife started feeling unsafe and scared to be there because of the low maintenance and all the group of beggers mentioned earlier who stairing came up too motel and car. Then finally we start heading upstairs to our room and on the way the stairs felt loose, then we enter the room and immediately I see bugs on the wall. The TV was on and blasting loud, no microwave or fridge and supposed to be there for a week no desk tables or anything we go to look the room over rouches just comfortably out in the open and this point I was feeling comfortable being there either. We check the bed for bugs but bed was so filthy couldn't tell if it was bedbugs or dirt. Bed felt like you're laying down on a brick and at this point my wife is wanting to leave she's not feeling comfortable, safe or happy staying there I agreed with her so we pack everything back to the car go back around and check out and then front desk tells me that can't give us a refund I could understand for one night not getting a refund but them not giving the whole week back is going to be an issue I would run and run far away from this motel if you are looking for one in springfield.

Beware… this is primarily a residential motel, not a travelers stop! We reserved a double queen room and the only ‘suitable’ room left was a king. Suitable meaning a room meant to reflect the rooms they show on this app. Very clean king room but as I was traveling with my adult son, this arrangement did not work. Upon returning to the office, we were given a choice to look at two other smoking double queen rooms but they were obviously meant for long term living as both were in various states of renovation, besides smelling of repeated nicotine use. As neither would work as well, we requested a refund. The lady at the front desk was very kind and understanding and reversed the charges. She was the only bright spot about the experience and I hope she’s getting paid well!

The front desk person was polite and efficient. Best I can say about this place. For the price I wasn't expecting super great, but decent would have been nice. Linens were all stained. Overhead lights, ac unit, and outlets didn't work in main room. No light bulbs in the lamps between the beds. Told front desk person about lights and ac, they growled at another lady about housekeeping not doing their jobs and said they would try to get light bulbs up to the room. Never came. Beds had floppy lumpy pillows and no blankets (if that was a blanket, it was nearly indistinguishable from a sheet). Definitely would not make a return visit to the place. Was very disappointed.

Bed smelled like pee, room was coated in dirt. Floor was disgusting. Curtain smelled gross like a DEAD ANIMAL. Dead roach and bugs in room. Horribly nasty. The pee smell in the bed was in the MATTRESS like it wasn’t CLEAN. So so unbelievably disappointed.

Arrived at 10pm at night after driving from Washington DC just to be told they overbooked and didn’t have a room for me even though they had my reservation that was made weeks prior. Will not risk booking this hotel again in the future. Sleeping in your car when you are expecting a bed and a shower is not a good feeling.

Felix who works qt the front desk is one of the nicest and most helpful people you will meet he walked me through all the different prices and room options. He has soom good jokes and will keep you smiling.
