Disappointed in our stay. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay at The Brewery Lodge but here is our experience. Starting with the lodge, walking from check in to our room desperately needs updated to make guests view a more welcoming site it is Very rundown. Our bathroom was Very dated. Needed new paint on doors. Bed and wood paneled wall as shown on website was nice. But disappointed in the rest of the room being run down, for the price. I wish the site would show bathroom pictures to help in choosing to stay at the Brewery Lodge. The lodge was very noisy. We were on the bottom floor with a lot of noise from the hallway. The walls must be super thin to hear all this noise. Heavy noise from walking- pounding above us. Which lasted for hours. The above noise was within the posted quite times, so I did not report. Housekeeping started cleaning very early on Sunday running vacuum cleaners cleaning rooms. We had dinner reservations at the lodge. They do need a sign to go to the bar to ask for a table. No one greets you at the restaurant entry so you are unsure if you should wait for a host to seat you. After waiting a while Another guest told us you need to go to the bar to ask to be seated. The food was good, but they need more help. The restaurant has a nice lodge atmosphere. We had Sunday brunch the next morning. Only one waitress. She did her best, but service of course was slow as she was trying to take care of all customers. She was very nice so that helped. The food on the other hand was the worst breakfast that we have ever had. And this includes hotel continental free breakfast food… We had the Veggie Frittata the menu said 3 eggs, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, tomato for $12 It did not come with cheese, so we added cheese. It did not come with any sides, so we added toast. Our experiences with breakfast at other restaurants will have toast, hashbrowns with the meal. And the eggs will give you a choice of cheese. Our Veggie Frittata Only came with eggs, bell peppers and onions. The eggs were dry and bland not favorable at all. They forgot the rest of the ingredients. When we were able to tell our busy waitress she said she would get mushrooms for us. Quite a bit later we were served one small plate with mushrooms on it for us to add to our now cold eggs. Breakfast for 2 costs us $45.00. If it would had been good, it would have been worth the cost. Very disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend staying at the Lodge when paying over $300 a night unless they do major updates.
