Hampton Inn Erie-South

The Hampton Inn Erie South is a very clean hotel, and out of all the hotels our group stayed at during the week, this one is definitely my favorite. It’s not because it’s new or modern, but because it’s cozy and warm. They even accommodated the arrival of two buses without any issues. Be sure to stop by the breakfast bar where Peggy who has been working there for 23 years, welcomes you with a smile, makes sure that everything is absolutely perfect when you’re eating, and that nothing is ever missing. She adds a lot of love into this place with special personalized decorations, making it feel like a home away from home. There’s also a well-stocked convenience store and a fitness center, which are both great additions. The swimming pool is open late, clear, and warm, making it a perfect spot to relax after a long day. The late pool hours and the cozy, welcoming vibe of the hotel made this stay especially memorable on our one-week trip to Nashville.

Wonderful stay, clean hotel, clean rooms, clean pool, whole property was fabulous. Very friendly staff, Breakfast was fresh, 2 woman working kept checking that we were happy. Keep up the good work Hampton Inn South Erie, Doing a fantastic job Bravo

This hotel has been disappointing. I checked-in online via the app the day prior to arrival, but when I showed up at 6pm to check in, I was told the room wasn't ready; it was still being cleaned. So, I wound up in a double instead of a king room. The digital key was not available because of the change. The hotel is LOUD. There is a gap under the door that you can slide your hand through meaning you hear everything in the hallway. I can also hear conversations in the adjoining room. There is only one accessible outlet by the bed, but it's well-used meaning chargers don't stay plugged in. All little things, but also annoying when combined together. Might be OK for a single night stay, but I'm wishing I'd booked elsewhere.

This place is in a GREAT location. There is lots nearby. That said, our toilet was dirty, our mirror was dirty, and one of the bath towels was dirty... which left us wondering what else wasn't clean. Ewww. Also, the Internet was slow. We will stay elsewhere next time we are in the area.

The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I think the staff is what made it awesome the staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. A very big variety of foods. I highly recommend this and definitely stay here.

My family had a great stay. Very friendly staff ,Shelly and Kathy were great at customer service , very attentive.and made sure that we had a nice stay. Clean hotel.great location near plenty of stores, restaurants and a nice mall. Free parking, free breakfast and a pool and a lot of hotels in the area do not have free parking and free breakfast

The Hampton Hotel is not up to Hilton's standards. The rooms need several basic aesthetic improvements from painting, to fixture replacement, to furniture replacement, to carpet replacement, and basic cleaning. The carpet is stained, the vents are extremely dirty, and I didn’t want to take my shoes off. The bathroom sink had two large cracks and the bathtub was chipped and spot painted. We immediately requested another room, but no rooms were available that had a King size bed. We took another room with two beds in a little better shape.

We stayed here for the half marathon at Presque Isle State Park. I’ve booked hotels in downtown Erie before, but now I wish I’d stayed here. Clean room, comfortable bed, hot breakfast, and friendly staff. Easy to get on and off nearby expressways.

This hotel is up to date and clean. I was surprised to learn the the hotel is 26 years old. It seems new. The breakfast had hot and cold options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area looked inviting though we did not use it. If we were going to be in the area, we would stay here again.
