Hill Farm Inn near Manchester is a picturesque Vermont getaway gem. The Inn's architecture and eclectic decor makes you feel warmly welcomed. The red barn against the mountains behind the main building with beautiful specimen trees is memorable and relaxing. But what sets this place apart is their exceptional staff. Their attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile, such as ensuring no cross-contamination for my celiac needs, and instantly coming up with loaner cufflinks to cover a packing oops, allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our stay. The restaurant at Hill Farm Inn is also notable – we dined there twice during our stay. If we were locals, we'd definitely be regulars. Bartender Olivia is a true gem combining incredible skill and warm conversation. In addition to her signature house cocktails, she effortlessly crafted a perfect custom drink to pair with my dinner. During our four-day stay, every breakfast was a delight - including gluten-free French toast, a treat missed for some years. We also fed the Alpacas a couple of snacks with apples cut up by the staff. The Alpacas are charming and gentle creatures, very different from Llamas. It was a unique and memorable experience. One afternoon we watched storms roll through from the covered wrap-around porch. Another morning we rocked on the front porch with friendly company from a couple of outdoor Inn cats. We often just lay on the grass and took it all in. If you're seeking a place to decompress and let go, the Hill Farm Inn is the perfect destination.
