I booked a package for 20th Oct 2024 for one night that included a bottle of wine in the room, breakfast, and a three-course dinner, as a birthday treat for my wife. Check-in: Upon arrival, the bottle of wine was missing from our room. I mentioned it to the receptionist while heading to the spa. After two hours, it still hadn’t been delivered. I called reception from the room, and it finally arrived. Room: The package promised a "superior room," which, based on the photos, included a small balcony. However, my room (No. 2227) did not have a balcony. After some research, it appears I received a "Signature Double Room," essentially just a standard room. I confirmed the superior room upgrade at check-in, and the staff member assured me it was indeed a "Superior Room." Three-Course Dinner: The hot food selection for strict vegetarians (like myself) was quite limited. The cold options were better, but I was hoping for a more substantial hot meal. The soup was the highlight of the dinner. Breakfast: The breakfast was typical of what most hotels offer—hash browns, beans, toast, some canned fruits, and cereal. I would have appreciated more hot vegetarian options, such as veggie sausages. Spa Facilities: The whirlpool spa was disappointing; half the jets didn’t work on both whirlpools. The swimming pool was overcrowded, with only a narrow lane that made passing difficult. The sauna and steam room were adequate. Overall, while the interior and decor were lovely, my experience didn’t meet expectations based on the advertising. I likely won’t return.
