Central Tacoma Homestay with Breakfast Included -Private Room-

We stayed in this property for one night. It was different from the accommodation that we reserved. Specifically, it had a shared bathroom whereas our booking clearly stated that we would have a private bathroom. In fact, the first item in the room description was 'private bathroom'. I would never have booked there if I had known that we would have to share a bathroom. I would never choose to stay in a property where I had to share a bathroom with strangers. The property owner made some excuses that I cannot confirm independently. He suggested that we leave and find somewhere else for a full refund. We declined as it was totally impractical to start searching around at that time. He also told us that he had emailed me about the change; I can find no record of the alleged email.  The 'breakfast' was totally inadequate. No bread, no juice, no sugar. As we had some bread with us, we decided to make toast. There is no toaster except a complicated air fryer that I couldn't figure out. In any case, it was filthy so I wouldn't have used it. Speaking of filth, opening drawers and cupboards looking for things like sugar, salt and so on revealed that cleanliness is not the number 1 concern in the property. Having several cats prowling around didn't give me much confidence about the hygiene of the place. Overall, I would not recommend this property. It fell far short of my expectations. The accommodation was not as described, the breakfast was completely inadequate, and the place was not very clean.
