Place is vey well kept. Great reception and very helpful staff. One of the best places to stay during our NZ trip.

Super friendly and accomodating for a busy family stay. Clean rooms with really comfy beds. Just such a hassle free stay, with a relaxed, lovely host. The girls and boy who do the rooms are extra accommodating, friendly and helpful too. Excellent location, cool pool…..Would I recommend? Absolutely 💯

We had misfortune of booking and staying at this motel. The motel lady Kerry-Ann behaved really harshly when we were late to check out by 5 minutes. I was travelling with my 80-year old father-in-law and my 4-year old son. Due to some reasons, we got a bit late to check out by few minutes. I requested late check-out by one hour and she refused it strictly (did not allow even 5 minutes). Afterwards, she came at the door at the stroke of 10 o'clock and I said we are almost ready and would leave in few minutes. She started behaving rude and we were literally thrown out of the door with my kid and family. Never had such horrible experience in NZ. Poor manners. She said she took an early check-in because someone paid for that! How can they allow an early check-in just after 30 minutes of check-out? When I asked for early checkin day before my travel, she did not agree easily and said maximum she can do is two hours before 2pm! That means different standards for different customers or just plain lies? The day before my travel, my kid had lot of vomiting and diahrrea and I requested that if she could cancel my booking and refund the amount. She hassled us lot and told she would cancel the booking only if she could onsell. Nowadays, after the covid age, most of the motel owners are flexible enough with bookings and they allow cancellation due to medical emergency! Finally I had to travel with my sick kid because I did not want to lose out the amount. We also saw a big notice inside room threatening for fines if dishes are left unclean, moving furniture etc. The motel also charges 3% surcharge over the total price because of credit card payment and there is no other way to pay (so be ready to shell out that extra 3%)! The motel owner needs to take some lessons on humanity. She needs to learn how to behave with customers. Customers need to be treated with respect. Please be careful while dealing with this motel and be ready well ahead of your check-out time. Otherwise, be ready to be kicked out rudely.

Friendly staff, super clean and well equipped comfortable unit in a very tidy, well maintained complex. Great bed, quiet room, despite being on a busy road. Thank you Rose for going above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. All staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Highly recommend for Tauranga and surrounds stay. One of few tourist motels in New Zealand whom do not have government funded long term tenants so very safe to stay. Traditional motel format, basic and extremely clean. Everything well maintained.

Chose this Motel due to it’s close proximity to Grace Hospital as we live rural, and an early morning appointment for knee surgery. Staff were kind and welcoming. Our unit was clean and spacious, including Sky TV and wifi. A really good nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. A small critique, maybe a blind in the bathroom, but otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We arrived at Ambassador motor- early and meet up with Kerry-Anne she was very helpful and friendly she give us a Lovely unit where we could park our car and trailer. We decided to visit Mount Manganui the next day She let us leave the trailer until we come back .Thank you kerry-anne
