Priory Inn

Had a wonderful three nights at the Priory Inn as a central stay during our Cotswold Way walk. Natalie was a most gracious host and Matt ran a top-notch kitchen. Best Sunday Roast of our trip! Wish we could have stayed longer. Location is excellent as well!

The staff at this hotel are brilliant. They really go the extra mile to be accommodating and helpful. We were four couples celebrating a 70th birthday on a Sunday night when the hotel bar facilities are closed. However we were offered a lovely lounge to meet up in for our celebration. It really made our night.

Such a wonderful hotel in an idyllic town. Great room, lovely staff, delicious breakfast and dinner - we loved it for our first anniversary getaway. Good car park too, which was a big plus. Plenty of visits / activities a short drive away. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.From the initial warm and friendly reception we were made to feel so welcome.All the staff were particularly helpful. A special thank you to Becky for organising the birthday rose and our stay. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom. (Though the sink was a rather odd small trough shape!) The restaurant has great ambience. We will definitely come again. Thanks again to the management and staff for making our visit so enjoyable.

The Priory Inn was booked totally on spec via a booking site, it turned out to be a wonderful find. The bedroom was really well fitted out and very comfortable. We eat dinner & breakfast at the hotel both meals were well above the usual hotel standard. Car parking was good, but most memorable of all a really great friendly staff team.

I stayed one night at The Priory on a trip away with my mother. We had a superior twin room. From the time we arrived to the time we left we could have felt more welcomed or had a better stay. The staff were, without exception, all lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and they were attentive, friendly and welcoming at all times. Our room was large and airy, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. If I were being Uber picky, it would have been a nice touch if we had been provided with dressing gowns in the room, and a few pots of flowers outside would have improved the view from our window, but that’s being extremely picky, and didn’t have any impact on our stay at all. We had tea and coffee, shampoo, and a fan in the room, as well as a hairdryer and a fan. The fan was most welcome as we stayed on a very hot day. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, and both of us really enjoyed our food. It was all cooked fresh and was absolutely delicious Our stay included breakfast, which was lovely. They even managed to please me, a picky vegetarian! We had such a lovely stay and I would love return one day. I would highly recommend The Priory to anyone.

Fantastic weekend break. The staff are its biggest asset, without exception every member was exceptional led by a wonderful manageress! Lovely food both for dinner & breakfast. Great value throughout. Bathroom was a little tired but everything else was so good I can forgive that. Highly recommended!

Just spent a lovely mid week break at The Priory Inn Tetbury. Nat leads her excellent team by example. She (and the team) are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The Priory Inn is only a few minutes’ walk away from the centre of Tetbury. Our room was excellent, on the ground floor as requested due to our mobility issues. Everything we could want - tea, coffee, biscuits, bottled water, fan, TV, WIFI, hair drier, soap and shampoo and some we fortunately didn’t need (iron and ironing board!) The towels were big, soft and fluffy and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a range of options (full English to just eggs however you want them). The extensive dinner menu with several daily specials catered to many tastes and the wine list was impressive. I could not manage a full dessert but the one scoop of pernod and blackcurrant sorbet was delicious and a fitting end to the meal. We have no hesitation in recommending the Priory Inn and hope to return many times in the future.

We won a nights stay when we took part in the Arkells ale trail, my Partner and I used our vouchers to make a weekend stay. We haven’t been disappointed. The staff are lovely, through out the pub/restaurant and the staff on the front desk. The room was lovely, clean and tidy & a good selection of teas and coffee as well as biscuits and bottled water. There is a selection of magazines about the local area in the room to help you find things to do. It’s a short walk from the centre of the town & there’s a coop and lots of shops and other cafes/restaurants there too. The breakfast was lovely. We both had a full English on the first morning. (I am writing this before the second) Along with a cooked item from the menu you can also have cereal/fruit/toast & there is a good Selection of cereals and fruit to choose from plus toast with an array of spreads. It’s definitely a lovely place to stay or even just to visit for a lunch or dinner out! I am looking forward to visiting in the summer as the garden looks lovely!
