Résidence Club MMV l'Altaviva

Great location right on the slopes with easy access to ski school. Nice apartments and excellent kids clubs. Poor restaurant in hotel coupled with only one other restaurant in the village really limits dining out options. My first experience of ski in ski out and it really makes a trip so much more relaxing and fun

Kids Club was not friendly with my kids. My kids enjoyed the kids club last year, but unfortunately this year they were very dissapointed.

The hotel's location is really good, ski in and ski out. The hotel itself is old and outdated the value for money is not really there. The restaurant was the worse, I ate there once and never again. The ski equipment was good and so were the team there. The pool is too cold and the spa is practically impossible to use before 4 pm only if you pay 17 euros after 4 pm. Limited choice of restaurants within walking distance (1).

Stayed here last year and the room was brilliant! This year however… not so good. There was 5 of us in this apartment and only 1 toilet between us all!! There were 2 bathrooms but 1 toilet - very weird?! We did ask if there was any rooms with 2 toilets available but unfortunately there was not. Considering how much we were paying for this room, having only 1 toilet shared between 5 adults is really not very appropriate! Next thing, the bed sheets were sooo dirty!! My cover was covered in dark stains and was very worn! You definitely need to upgrade this! Having told the reception about how unhappy I was with the cover due to the dirtiness of it, the young staff said they would come and drop a new one off to my room. Unfortunately it never came and I had to go and pester the staff again for a new cover as it was getting late and after a long travel day I was very tired. The following day my parents were in desperate need of a bath, however the bath would not fill!!!! The plug would not fit!!! We told the reception and nothing happened all week!!! We had to go back to reception again to sort things and so on our second to last day someone was sent to our room!! In the end it was too late as we had to use the sauna facilities - which brings me to another negative!! Last year from 4pm the spa facilities would cost 13€ per person however within the space of less than a year this was increased to 17€!!!!! 17€ per person per night for a 45 minute session which you share with many other people!!! A rip off if you ask me!! Another unfortunate let down with our room was the lack of space. There is no storage space - no where to put luggage or ski gear and just clothes in general!! The room became very crowded due to the lack of storage space available. The lack of essentials is also questionable - no toilet paper, no washing up essentials, no dustpan and brush, no salt or pepper!! Make sure to wash all the utensils and dishes before you use as ours were covered in stains and dirt!! Disgusting. This place does have the potential to be a great hotel apartment complex but there is just so much wrong with it in its current state.

Overall a great experience, we visited MMV L'Altaviva already 5 times, so that says enough. Great ski-in ski-out. 9/10.

Great place to stay if you love a family friendly accommodation with ski in ski out. Great swimming pool, although a bit warmer would even be better. Also nice to get some snacks and some entertainment at nights. Would be great if there was more of a international focus on the entertainment. All kids clubs and quizzes were in French only. This is an international resort and should be improved.
