I stayed in a family room here... the lady who greeted me effusive in her greeting. She showed me to my room expressing surprise that I was (in her words) in such a big room by myself. Initially I had no idea what she meant, but once I looked around the room I remembered that the family room had been all that was available. It is not big, but for a country motel it affords the necessary area for families. It's an interesting place to stay because it is a budget motel... whether it is signposted as one or not. It's located off the Main Street that means it's quieter for guests, but it is walking distance to everything you will need. I could not get TV reception here and the lady working here gave me her tablet for the evening which I really appreciated. Although I had misgivings because that may have been her only entertainment for the evening. Still... it was lovely that her customer service was so exceptional. My guess is that they are doing this place up as they can afford it. The linen was good, the kitchen cupboards were good... but sadly what let it down was the mattress. I feel that you can forgive most things in a motel if you can get a good night's sleep... and whilst I slept... I woke up stiff. The towels however, were utterly magnificent and would put most motels to shame. So the question is- would I recommend it? I think it does well for a budget motel... I feel that the owners have care for the place and are doing things as they can. So, if you are looking for a budget place to stay... then this is a good option.
