Best Western Travelers Rest/Greenville

✨A great place to stay near Greenville, a charming spot called Travelers Rest, SC. ✨ From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to welcome me and make my stay comfortable. I was checked in by the very nice and pleasant lady, Etha. A slight glitch with my check-in and Shiv, supervising manager stepped up to assist, as Etha was a new member of the team and still training. After learning that I was looking to hike the area mountains and enjoy exploring the area around Greenville SC, he offers suggestions for hiking, dining and sites in the area that shouldn't be missed. He shared some of his favorite trails and hikes. I mentioned biking and he told me about the expansive swamp rabbit trail that connects over 12 miles from TR into GVL. Suggestions for bike rental. All this personal attention to a weary traveler was welcomed and helpful. My room ️was clean, well appointed, comfortable and a great value in the BW brand. The breakfast offered daily variety of hot items and continental breakfast staples. A nice pool area and a daily happy hour service from 5-7 offering guests beer or wine . The entire staff was so friendly and helpful and very hard working. Everyone from the front desk team to the housekeeping, laundry and kitchen staff always smiles and pleasant. All this added up to a wonderful stay that was so good that I extended my stay several more days. I recommend the property, the wonderful staff and the well appointed and comfortable rooms at a great location.

My wife and I stayed at this location several years ago when our Granddaughter gradduated from college. It was a very nice stay so we chose it again for this stay. This time we found that the entire building and rooms fust appeared to be old. Everything worked but showed alot of wear. The carpeting in the room had a wear pattern and faiding. It also appeared to not have been vaccumed befor our stay. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. We did not have breakfast since we had arranged to have breakfast elsewhere.

Don’t count on the full breakfast. The food was not good. It was microwaved and straight out of a can. It could have been much better for the money you paid. The ceiling in my room had a patch falling down. Was charged more for pet deposit than stated on their website.

Bad customer service. The room is not worth the money. I left 5 minutes after arriving and they wouldn’t refund my money. The room floor was very dirty. My daughter’s feet were black from walking barefoot and we were only there for a few minutes.

This is one of the best Best western hotels. Professional and caring stuff, rooms were cleaned daily. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are very comfortable . Hotel is located very clise to Furman University. We will definitely stay here again .

Such friendly staff, everyone from the management staff to the housekeeping staff was concerned and caring. We were asked by everyone if we were pleased and if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Great care was obviously taken to ensure the room was clean. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return to this hotel when we are in the Greenville/Travelers Rest area.

The loudest hotel ever! People above me were moving furniture all night(that’s literally what it sounded like). Maids were extremely loud in hallways starting at 8am. Asked for late checkout and it was granted to 11. The maids started banging on my door at 9am and knocked every 30 mins till 11am. Room was clean but if you need any kinda rest do not stay here!

Excellent everything - desk clerk amazing, happy hour, 2 drinks per person, beer or wine, cheese, olives, and crackers, Very clean and so very comfortable. Nice area. Everything 5 star! Wish every hotel was this great!! Loved it. Can’t wait for the full breakfast tomorrow! And we’ve been traveling for 8 nights!

The rooms are clean and housekeepers are excellent. The pool was closed without explanation. The breakfast choices were limited: no hard boiled eggs, only vanilla yogurt, no English muffins, cereal limited to fruit loops, corn flakes, and raised brand; fresh fruit limited to bananas and oranges. The coffee machine was great.
