The very convenient place with parking to stay or stop on your journey. Nice hostess, good information materials about the area, rich breakfasts based on local products, a charming town and beautiful surroundings for hiking. A magical place if you want to relax.

We spent one night on our way to southern Europe. Despite the late hour, we got the keys without any problems. Very nice staff. Pleasant surroundings. Clean, well-kept and tastefully decorated rooms. The breakfast was great. I hope we will go there back.

The property is one of the cleanest I have ever seen. The room had a descent size, yet with 31 degrees Celsius an AC or fan would have been nice. The breakfast is fantastic and the hosts are very nice and friendly. The area is quiet and beautiful. I definitely recommend this place.

I slept here one night on my journey from Italy. It was easy to arrange for late arrival. Place is quiet, bed comfortable, room nice and clean, beautiful view in the morning, people here are very hospitable, breakfast was excelent. I can only recommend this place.

Birgit is a fantastic host and hotelier. From the very first day we were treated like VIP’s and she could do enough for us. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough, clean, friendly, beautifully presented and the breakfast is amazing! Very friendly staff, super clean rooms, good breakfast and cozy bedrooms! Literally one minute from the old town attractions with an amazing view. This bed and breakfast goes one extra mile for its customers. Quiet rooms, even the bathroom was nice! I especially loved the wooden lamp. Also, dog friendly! Thank you!

There are free parking spaces available in front of the guest house. Getting into the house was easy, we found the key in a small locker. The building is located in a peaceful, quiet area. It is a spacious accommodation with a great public room with cold drinks in the fridge, delicious biscuits and hot coffee on the table, along with local brochures with various programs. The well-kept garden is stunningly beautiful with lots of flowers. The dining room is sunny and cozy, the breakfast is fresh and excellent. The rooms and the entire guest house are perfectly clean, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is huge and has a window as well. The souls of the guest house are three nice ladies who are always smiling and are communicative and extremely helpful. The neighbourhood is surrounded by beautiful greenery. Althofen is a friendly little town with good dining options, wonderful historical sights, close to Sankt Veit an der Glan, Klagenfurt (Reptilienzoo Happ is highly recommended to visit) and the Wörthersee. We had such a great time both at the Bed and Breakfast Mittelkärnten guest house and in the entire region of Carinthia. We hope to have a chance to be back some day.

Dass es so etwas heutzutage noch gibt! Solche Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und wunderbaren Rundumservice hätte ich niemals erwartet. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist bei weitem besser, als in den meisten 5 Sternehotels, in denen wir arbeiten und regelmäßig verkehren. Das Zimmer ist blitzsauber, geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ich komme jederzeit gerne wieder und kann dieses Bed&Breakfast nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Ottima struttura, camere e servizio colazione eccellenti. Birgit, la titolare, é una persona squisita, attenta ai particolari ed alle esigenze dei clienti che spesso riesce ad anticipare. Struttura posizionata in zona comoda, con parcheggio ed a due passi a piedi dal centro storico di Althofen.
