This has been, without question, the worst resort experience I have ever endured, and it is appalling that such incompetence and negligence could occur at an establishment that dares to call itself a five-star resort.
Here is a summary of the unacceptable treatment and service failures:
1. Room Not Ready Upon Arrival: I arrived at the resort at 3 PM, yet my room was not ready until 5:30 PM. A delay of this magnitude is absolutely unacceptable and reflects severe mismanagement.
2. Ridiculously Slow Service at Dinner: At dinner, I ordered from the menu and waited over an hour for the food to arrive. Not once was I informed about this delay when placing the order. Such unprofessional behavior is inexcusable.
3. Incompetence with Baby Food Reheating:
I called room service to reheat some baby food—a simple, routine request that should have taken minutes. Instead, it took over an hour and required me to physically go to them to resolve the matter. This is beyond absurd.
4. Room Service Disaster for My Baby
I ordered food for my baby via room service, which took over an hour to arrive. By the time it did, my baby had already fallen asleep. I instructed the staff to keep the food at the restaurant so it could be reheated and sent quickly when needed. When I called later, the staff could not locate the food. After five frustrating calls and 30 minutes of waiting, I was informed that the food had been discarded. They then proceeded to prepare a new meal. My hungry, cranky baby had to wait unnecessarily for food because of your team’s sheer incompetence.
This experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. Every interaction with your staff has been riddled with delays, miscommunication, and an utter lack of professionalism. Your resort has failed spectacularly on all counts—timeliness, service quality, and basic hospitality standards.
I deeply regret choosing to stay at Shangri-La Rasa Ria. The level of service I received would be unacceptable at a budget motel, let alone a so-called luxury resort. You should be ashamed to operate under the pretense of being a five-star establishment.
Further Issues:
Room service didn’t clean the room till 10.15 PM. I left the room at 5 PM & came back at 10 PM. Had to go to the reception myself, complain, & then room service went to clean on 10.20 PM.
I purchased something from the hotel shop and the concierge was supposed to send it to the room. When I went to the room, 3 hours later, it wasn’t there. Had to go to the reception, complain, & then they located it after 30 minutes.
I don’t know how you would fix any of these issues at this point. This resort has already ruined my vacation and made my start of the year very stressful.
