My friend and I were excited to spend a few relaxing days in Puglia and chose this resort with high expectations. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a series of disappointments. First, the hotel staff did not speak a word of English and did not even try to make an effort to communicate with us, making communication very difficult. The service at the hotel restaurant was unprofessional; while I was still eating, a server tried to take my plate away. When I told him I was still eating, he gave me a grumpy stare. Later, the same server obstructed our way as we were leaving. My friend requested Parmesan instead of Burrata on her pasta and was shocked to receive Parmesan in a plastic bag. We expected better, especially in Italy! The food itself was unseasoned and bland. The location is not great either. If you don't have a car, you can't go anywhere, so we had to eat at the hotel restaurant for all three nights of our stay. At checkout, we were surprised with an additional charge for beach access. We understand there may be a fee, but it should have been mentioned upon our arrival. We received no explanation and felt deceived. The staff never inquired about our stay and were generally unfriendly. The hotel room, pool, and fitness area were nice, but these positives did not outweigh the numerous negatives. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their staff's behavior and communication.
