Very nice specious room at a beautiful B&B the host was very nice and suggested a great restaurant within walking distance of the B&B The breakfast was very good. We met very nice people who were also guest. Easy access to main roads. If B&B’s are where you like to stay this is definitely the one to book

Patricia was the most amazing host. She did not steer us wrong with all the wonderful restaurants she suggested. Her breakfast was delicious. The home and the room was beautiful and clean. All the best attractions were super close. I would definitely suggest staying here to all my friends and family.

Our two night stay at the Baer House was wonderful. Great accommodations, very comfortable, beautifully decorated guest room. Amazing circa 1870 Victorian home with a rich history and unique wood work throughout the house. Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful. They gave the history of the home and family, as well as tips on things to do and see in Vicksburg. I feel like we made new friends. We will definitely stay there again. Gorgeous home. Fairly comfortable room with beautiful, high antique wood bed. WiFi was very slow. So don’t plan on doing much online. I had hoped to get some work done on laptop. Off -street parking is great. All bedrooms are on second floor. Really lovely first floor common rooms. Breakfast was adequate.

We had a wonderful night stay at this B&B while we visited the Military Park. The room was quite comfortable, pleasant and clean. We had a nice breakfast as a group, with our host giving us an extensive history of the families that lived in the house and we learned about the thriving Jewish community in Vicksburg when the house was built.

Our stay at Baer House was wonderful! We stayed for two nights, and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The history of the house was explained by Patricia after a most excellent breakfast in the home's beautiful dining room. We were also treated to wonderful stories about the area, Vicksburg Military Park, and personal connections to historical figures! Our room with private bathroom was lovely, and very comfortable. The hosts also were helpful with descriptions of local eateries; we were fortunate to obtain a seating at Anchuca, which was wonderful as well. We prefer to find B + Bs wherever we travel, and this particular one was one of our favorites!

The best in Bed and Breakfast's in the Vicksburg area! The rooms are beautiful, well decorated and comfortable. The food is Chef-level quality and all you could want. The hosts are personable and helpful with up-to-date information about the park and the area in general. Money well-spent to stay here. I will definitely go back when in the Vicksburg area!

I would stay at the Baer House again in a heartbeat. The place is one block the famous Old Courthouse Museum, and just two or three blocks from other great attractions and restaurants. The owners keep the Baer House immaculately clean, and provide a delightful breakfast in a beautiful dining room that's full of history. I stayed in the Scarlet Room. There was no traffic noise and the bed was super comfortable. I could control the AC in the room to my liking, and the bathroom was spotless. There's a billiards room on the main floor. Free parking is available for every guest, and the backyard even has a patio with a firepit. You'll need to be able to climb stairs, because the house is true to its original 1870 layout. The owner even give tours.

This is a lovely B&B built in 1870. We slept in the Scarlett Room which was perfect for us. Since this was the last stop of a 3-week road trip, we had several items to store in the room (like a plug-in cooler); and there was plenty of room for everything! Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately, I could never eat everything on my plate. There's a small refrigerator and ice maker in the dining room for guests to use. This was really handy for keeping some ice packs and drinks cold. In other reviews, I read some complaints about the set time for breakfast (8:30 AM). I didn't find this to be an issue since most people want to get out early to explore the area. We met some interesting folks and held lively conversations while eating. If we ever return to Vicksburg, I'll do my best to reserve a room here!
