Just returning from Voi Tanka Village and booked 18 nights in a Dimora Family Suite for 2 adults and 1 teenager. We did our research and thank you to many Trip Advisor reviewers, we planned and packed properly and arrived with very low expectations. We booked our suite in January directly from their website and emailed the hotel many times to get additional information. We also asked for an early check-in and late check-out and none of these were possible (high season, we assumed). Upon arrival, we waited over one hour in line to check-in. Not enough staff on a Saturday to deal with all the guests. People started to get very impatient and disappointed shouting in Italian so not quite the 4 star hotel welcome you would expect. However, this is how we felt about the whole experience: PROS: The grounds are well kept and cleaned but it is a HUGE resort so be ready to walk. - The Bell Boys bring your luggage in golf carts directly to your room. - There are several restaurants where to eat: Oasys is the main buffet which caters for everyone at breakfast, lunch & dinner. We only ate lunch there occasionally and it is basically an hectic canteen that caters for hundred of guests. The Mirto (free of charge for Dimora or Domus guests) is a buffet style restaurant, only opened for breakfast & dinner (closed at lunch), with a more sereine atmosphere but similar food to Oasys. The Pizzeria is free of charge for Dimora or Domus guests (paying for other room types) and it was quiet in August so a much better option for lunch than the overcrowded Oasys. The Poke & Burger restaurant is charged for all guests and absolutely disgusting. Burgers served cold in carboard boxes, no fries available and staff unpleasant. The Stella Di Mare (fish place) offers a discount rate for Dimora guests but we didn't try it. Other food options for younger kids were available to eat but we were not concerned. - The sandy beach is beautiful with clear sea water. Avoid paying for the loungers and gazebos. The prices are not worth it. Guests are on top of each other, glued like sardines. Instead, pack a small retractable parasol, bring your own beach towels and walk just 50 metres away from the crazy "private" Voi Tanka where you will find a beautiful, quiet sandy section area. Same place as paying guests but free of charge and empty despite the high season so the beach experience was so much more relaxing than the guests who paid a fortune to rent a lounger 10cm from everyone else. - The hotel has live bands and evening entertainments. We didn't try any of them but no doubt some guests like those. - The pool is cleaned and well kept. Lifeguards on site. No issue getting free loungers anytime we visited. Swimming caps are mandatory unless the Bar area (which sells them) is out of stock in which case the rule is lifted and everyone can swim "cap-free". It happened 5 times in 18 days. The pool closes every day between 1pm and 3pm. - The Piazza (main square) has a main bar
