Tasman Holiday Parks - Ohiwa

We had such a great stay in January this year. It was a safe, fun and exciting place for our 3 young boys with lovely hosts and great facilities! We will be returning again next year and recommend it to everyone!

The campground itself was nice. Clean facilities. A nice little swimming pool and playground area. The staff could be a bit friendlier in my opinion. Good location, away from the hustle and bustle. Nice walks.

This was our first visit to this camp and we were delighted. We visited with our Campervan and had a Power site overlooking the sea. The property is wonderfully situated right on the beach, its location is quite a remote area making this a quiet relaxing site. Although we didn't try it ourselves it's obvious that there is good fishing from the beach. Facilities are spotlessly cleaned and maintained. Showers are 50c for 5 minutes so remember to bring actual coins with you. We will certainly be back.

Our second stay here, this time to celebrate birthdays. We had the very far end sites so that our whanau/friends could camp around us too, as well as those that stayed in cabins/motel. We all loved it. Ohiwa is such a special place, and the campground is spacious, dog friendly (most important for us) clean facilities, with Nola, Todd and the team very helpful and friendly hosts. Only regret was that the week was way too short. Will be back for sure.

Awesome campsite in a beautiful part of the motu. Friendly hosts, extremely clean and tidy, lots of good walks, nice beach and very kid friendly. Good optio s for campervans, tents and big rigs. Would go back for sure.

We joined 5 other families for the long Labour weekend in October 2022. We absolutely loved the camp and will be back for sure! We rented one of the Tourist Cabins which was perfect for me and the 3 kids (age 12, 11 and 6). It would have been great with my husband there too. The cabin had a separate bedroom with double bed, fold out sofa and single bed in main room with a kitchen and separate bathroom. The place was Immaculate! There is a view of the ocean from the balcony and it was shady when needed and sunny when needed too! The staff are lovely, there are loads for things for the kids to do, our friends were in tents and big motorhomes and all love it there too. It reminds me of the original Surf and Sand holiday camp in Ohope 20 years, really peaceful and easy. Great walks for the parents around and the glowworms were a highlight as was the bonfire on the beach and the fishing (the dads caught sooo many snapper!). Great place!
