We recently stayed at H2S as part of an overnight high school field trip to attend a theater production downtown Grand Rapids. It was a quick, easy trip downtown with plenty of space to park our mini-bus on property. The rooms were huge and spacious - our students felt they had plenty of room to hang out and have storage space for luggage. Breakfast was simple - bagels, cereal, breakfast sandwiches - but everything was well-stocked. The only things that could use improvement would be including a shower curtain liner (currently just a shower curtain) and working on getting hot water in the showers as it had to be turned all the way up to even get warm water. Overall - the hotel was a good choice for our school field trip as staff was friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself was quiet and clean.

New hotel super clean and fresh, but the folks working here give the impression that they couldn’t care less. When I arrived I asked for water. Told the them that I’d already checked in. They said they’d have to give me a keycard but if that was an issue I could cancel at no charge and go somewhere else.no was considered. Why would I leave because I can’t use my Hilton app to open the door? It ends up their WiFi was not working. I was finally able to get that information which made a little more sense as to why they said that. WiFi was not an issue for me. The next morning I go downstairs and I ask if I can have a bottled water. Again, they couldn’t have cared less. There’s a guy that starts speaking for the desk agent I was speaking with. He had a beard. He interrupts and asks if I got water last night. I said yes. He then asked if I got two waters last night. I said yes again. Then he said that’ll be $2.00 for a water now. In my 30 or so years staying at Hilton, being a Diamond or not, I do t ever remember being questioned and denies. Especially like that. No thank you for being a lifetime Diamond. No appreciation for my loyalty all these years. If he really did want to or need to charge me, there’s a better way to handle. Like a hundred better ways.

I spent one night here for work and was impressed by how clean and nice the room was! The hotel is located in an extremely quiet area but is very close to a multitude of shopping and dining options. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable - I would buy the entire ensemble if the exact same thing was available for purchase. I highly recommend a stay at this property.

Very clean hotel with a great outdoor space (unfortunately all the seating was taken by a wedding party). Room was huge, clean, well kept and well equipped with a nice kitchenette. Bathroom had one sink. Lighting in the bathroom wasn’t great, but hey, I look good in any light!! ;) Walk-in Shower was spacious and clean (personally, I hate the bath tub idea in hotel —- those are gross)

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room was a good size and we didn’t feel crowded at all. There was lots of counter space for luggage etc. For a “free” breakfast it was okay, nothing special, but not bad. Being a weekend they catered more to kids, but we had no problem finding some eats. Fruit Loops are awful so we didn’t eat those. The grounds were okay and there’s lots of parking. This was our first stay at a Home 2, but it won’t be our last.

Terrible hotel - I cannot believe this is apart of Hilton. Our daughter got sick over the old breakfast and expired milk. The pool looks nice in the pictures, but there is milder and the pool was grey in color. Nothing is well kept and the owner who is also the manager, was inconsiderate. She needs to go back to hospitality school. I will never stay here again.

Wonderful Hotel conveniently located right off the highway with easy access to restaurants and services. The hotel was very clean and current and the staff was helpful and friendly. We look forward to our next time in the area.

We have stayed here in years past and it is going downhill-the rooms need better upkeep. Mold is growing in the bathroom and there was a hole in the bathroom wall. 1 of the 2 elevators was broken too. Breakfast was good though as was the pool. The hot tub timer was broken. And it seemed like the outdoor furniture could use a good power wash.

Room smelled a little damp, but we got used to it quickly. Hotel was understaffed. But overall a satisfactory experience. Rooms were nice and facilities were new and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had decent selection, though it was also understaffed and messy as a result. Price was reasonable given comparable hotels in the area. Would stay here again.
