I booked a stay for 2 nights at the Comfort Inn in Waller to attend a horse show that was to be held 2/26/22. Unfortunately, the horse show had to be cancelled due to weather issues and rescheduled for 4/9. I immediately contacted the hotel, but was told that I could not change, reschedule or cancel my reservation because it was less than 48 hours before my scheduled stay. (It was 36 hours.) The manager declined to work with me, despite the fact that I am part of the Choice Hotel Rewards program and frequently have cause to stay in a hotel in Waller. They charged my credit card full price for both nights. I understand that they can legally do this, but the customer service was terrible and the business decision on their part was stupid. They have lost a frequent traveler for life! I did call the corporate complaint line and spoke with Jim, who also called the Waller Comfort Inn, and then told me there was nothing he could do. I spoke to the manager of the horse show, who had originally recommended this hotel to me and told her to not recommend this hotel in the future. So, not only will I not stay at this facility, I will not ever stay at any other Comfort Inn or Choice Hotel for the rest of my life. I hope the $195 you got from my card was worth it.
