This is the worst IGH facility out of the four we stayed in on a recent trip. It is way overdue for remodeling and update; everything about it says old, from a single squeaky wheeled luggage cart to a bathroom door that would not fully close. Breakfast did not even include cooked oatmeal (the only IGH facility on our trip that didn't have it)-the mandarin oranges were flavorless. There was barely room to drive one vehicle in front of the main door for check-in. Walking to the front door was hazardous for disabled guests due to the uneven and sloped approach. Staff was friendly and accomodating, but the facility was disappointing at best. It's hard for me to see how it meets the requirements to be a Holiday Inn Express facility!

Family of four traveling for a graduation party. I would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 stars only because the swimming area was just ok. Water felt like it just came out of the tap. That was our only minor issue. We weren’t there to swim, but it would have been a downfall with our kids if we did plan for more swimming. Staff was amazing! Check in, breakfast (especially 5/28) ladies were fantastic! Food was very good. Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, bagels, muffins, pancakes, yogurt, cereal. Many juice options, milk, coffee. Apples, bananas, clementines. One of the best included breakfasts we’ve had. Room was very clean. Towels were brand new. Beds we’re comfortable. Anything we needed was taken care of promptly. Our coffee maker didn’t work and the front brought us a replacement very quickly. If we needed fresh towels that too was quick and simple. Close to highway. Near Target, many restaurants. Our family would highly recommend this hotel!

We wanted a place to stay in the Waterloo/ Cedar Falls while we visited the lost island water park. We settled on the Holiday Inn as it has a great location near the park and it had an indoor pool and hot tub (my son loves both and we knew we'd use it). We got there and the hot tub was literally filled with cement! We would've stayed somewhere else had we known this. The hotel itself was meh. Dated and not all that clean, but clean enough to stay and not walk out. The lobby and breakfast area however were very clean. The lady who checked us in and the man running breakfast were very nice, which was pretty much the only saving grace.

Settled in to our room for the night. TV does not work. Staff said to forget it and made us move rooms. We went from 206 which was the end of the hallway to 220 which was at the end of the hallway in the opposite direction. Pool not working spa not working. Staff didn't care. Told system was down...not sure what that meant.
