Comfort Suites Near NASA - Clear Lake

Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy. Hotel seems a little tired. Hot tub was not working at all, and the water looked very green. This was really disappointing as we had looked forward to the hot tub in particular. Because the tub is situated in a corner of the main swimming pool, I refrained from using the main pool due to potential splash over of bugs from the tub. Various items in the dining room were not working either. Air conditioning unit in rooms very noisy. Great being so close to NASA but unlikely to book this hotel again.

The pillows could use some work, but the Indian lady at the desk was very kind. The hot tub is broken and made me sad. My room wouldn’t get cold because I believe the AC was broken?? Also my light switch was a little janky but still a place i recommend.

Better avoid this place. The manager and management are rude. I see a lot of people have commented about the issues, we missed reading them before booking and our experience was no different. Poor Service

Comfort Inn Webster, TX I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Webester, Texas from December 22–26, 2023. After this stay, I will not be staying at any Comfort Suites or other Choice Hotel in the future. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We waited for a while and no one showed up. We went to look for the restrooms since we had been driving for quite a while. I found the Men’s restroom. There was a sign on the door that it was out of order. I also walked by the hot tub. There was also a sign on that door that the hot tub was also out of order. We went back to the front desk and waiting for someone to check us in. Not a very good first impression. I told them that I had a reservation. They asked for a $150 cash as a deposit. I told them that the reservation did not mention anything about a deposit and that I did not have $150 cash. They said that in that case, they would take a credit card. I asked what the deposit was for. They said “incidentals”. Incidentals? I thought that was strange. There is no restaurant , bar or anywhere to charge any incidentals. I asked how long the hot tub had been broken. They said that it had been broken for about a week or so. They charged $150 to my credit card and handed us our room keys. The front desk was not very friendly at all. There was no friendly greeting or welcome. I should have gone elsewhere. I was really disappointed about the hot tub being out of order, the restroom being out of order and $150 deposit. When we got to our room, I tried to use the Wi-Fi. It was also out of order. I went down to front desk. They confirmed that yes, their Wi-Fi is down. I asked if they could reboot their router. They told me that they did not know how to do that. My wife had gone to get ice. The ice machines on the first and third floor were out of service. At this point, I asked for discount on my room rate. Since everything at the hotel was broken or out of service, I felt that I should receive a discounted rate. The front desk said that they could not do that. The next day, we went to use the pool. The door lock to the pool was broken. You have to get someone to open it for you. They then leave the deadbolt out to keep the door cracked open. I think that this is a safety issue. A small child could easily sneak into the pool and drown. Besides the hot tub being broken, the water in the pool was ice cold. We could not swim in the pool. I am not sure how well the water is being maintained. I noticed a lot of things rusted out in the pool area. The door lock to the pool and door is rusted. There were two maintenance doors that were rusted. One had a sharp rusted vent sticking out waiting to cut someone’s foot open. The handicap chair to enter the pool had caution tape around it and it was rusted out. I can’t believe all the things there are out of order at this hotel: - The men’s room when I came in - The hot tub - Door lock to the pool and pool door rusted - J

I really don’t like to leave negative reviews however….. The smoke detector was hanging loose from the ceiling. The shelf in the bathtub had some unidentifiable black stains showing through the caulk. The air conditioner didn’t do much to cool the room. The elastic on the fitted sheet was useless and I spent the night fighting to keep it from coming loose. The elevator had a carpet scrap covering part of the floor. Sketchy area. Orange juice watered down. Breakfast was just plain yucky. Internet was totally useless. Only one luggage cart available when we checked in and it had a dirty rug thrown on it that I had to move. Upon check out the desk employee never even go up from their chair, never asked me how my stay was and never asked if I wanted a receipt.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was professional. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds very comfortable. The breakfasts were adequate. The location was perfect for visiting Galveston and NASA. Local shopping and restaurants nearby. We recommend.

Friday night check in. All is fine. Wake up Saturday morning to beating on door. Wake up from dead sleep scared to death about who is banging on the door. As my husband is getting dressed we hear manager. He gets to the door and she starts yelling about the credit card didn't go through and she is about to call the police on us. I get up and get dressed. As I go down stairs I pull up my CHOICE credit card and see that it not only is on there, but on there 13 times.... of course all show pending charges. So apparently the front desk put it in too many times or the credit card company was have some type of glinch. I went ahead and paid with another card. 3 days later I still having pending charges for this Comfort Inn and Suites. I asked the manager if the phone wasn't working at the front desk, because I am sure the phone in our room was working. They could have just called us to come down and try to figure it out, not try to scare the crap out of us!!! Manager was totally rude, yelling, and so unprofessional. She was very upset her employees called her in on her day off. I was like well maybe you are not training them correctly!!!!! I would never stay there again. EVER!!!!

Very comfortable and a great value! Very nice area, close to Space Center Houston. We enjoyed our stay. Nicely maintained indoor pool and workout room. Friendly staff. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Good shopping also. When in this area again, we would choose this hotel.

First of all when we got there, our daughter had booked two rooms through ***********, and our rooms had been canceled ohh but wait the rooms was still available for somewhat higher price. In the beginning we each had 2 queen beds, my daughter got one and we got a king with a couch bed. Our rooms was totaled 165. a piece, a little high for a Sunday night. I asked for a handicap room in which they told me it would cost more, manager said I would get a 10% discount, then she said wait can’t give you that discount because you booked through a third party. But didn’t you say our rooms was cancelled, interesting! Now to the room the electrical plugs did not work in the bathroom. The bed was old and hard. I will not stay here again. The young man at the desk didn’t have a clue to anything.
