Sticky carpets, peeling paint work, mould in the bathroom. Mouldy curtains , dirty patio . Nothing nice to say about the rooms unfortunately. we paid £70 a night. Thankfully the breakfast was lovely and the staff are very attentive and helpful in the restaurant.

This hotel is not much to look at from the outside tucked in a corner with an old car park. The interior is a bit tired and worn. The hotel itself is huge and fairly old in style. The bar and restaurant decorated for Christmas (2024) is bright and cheerful. We stopped in for a meal after a long day of hospital visits and shopping the essentials. I was so pleased and surprised by the service from bar & restaurant staff. Pleasant and professional. The order was taken promptly (table service here) and we both ordered from the Christmas menu. The beef cheeks braised to perfection on a bed of creamy mash surrounded by rich gravy. My father had the turkey which he demolished with gusto! Generous portions and cooked to perfection. Well done all. You made our evening after my initial reservations my expectations were exceeded. Thanks you all.

we came to see family and this is our third stay at the Crossroads. from the time you arrival to the time you hand your key over the service is excellent. the room was great no 48 when my hubby book up the service was brilliant. the restaurant and pub is great also and we just want to say a big thank you to all the staff and we will see you hopefully next year
