Weldborough Hotel

We stayed in the campground overnight and did one of the walking trails. The staff are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. We had an amazing coffee and chat, and had a wonderful dinner and local bubbles. Recommend a stopover to anyone; in fact alter your travels for a visit! Finding St Helens virtually booked out, we decided to take a chance on the Weldborough Hotel. We booked the cabin out the back of the hotel. On arrival we received a very warm welcome, were led to our cabin and shown where to park. This accommodation is rustic so don’t expect 4 star. We loved it. The cabin was a good size with a separate bedroom, well appointed kitchenette, table and chairs and small bathroom. The bed was not the best for us. My partner is a bit heavier than I am and the bed seemed to slope on his side but in saying that we slept okay. The makings for a continental breakfast of cereal and toast were provided. The setting is beautiful and if you are a camper, whether in a van or tent, the fee is by donation. There were quite a few on site. We decided to have a meal in the pub dining room. I had the bangers and mash and my husband had the fish and chips. Prices were reasonable and the meals substantial. There is one negative and that is the WiFi and phone service. We had absolutely no service and I assume it is the same for everyone. You are in the bush so this is probably to be expected. We were only staying one night so not an issue but it is something to be aware of. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

A very small basic room which however was clean and comfortable. The pub is run down and needs a lot of work. The pub has no warmth or atmosphere. Both slow combustion fires 🔥 only one being used needed cleaning. Small menu however meals satisfactory Breakfast ordinary At $125 a night not recommended

Comfortable, clean, friendly,historic, great food, quiet location. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. I was in the area to fossic and this was a comfortable place to stay. Intend to return.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest staff who were super accommodating to our needs…I was travelling with somebody with special needs and the manager Tilly was extremely helpful and made both myself and my companion feel at home…Jason also deserves a shout out for the taste testers and his bubbly nature….The room was very tidy,bed was super soft with nice linen and very cosy with the heaters provided.We had a fire to enjoy after hours.Our meal was amazing very impressed and would highly recommend this little gem.There is a fantastic camp ground also available.We will definitely be back…Thanks guys

Was driving back to where I was staying in Scamander and stopped over for a beer and if was a perfect quiet little spot in the bush to hang outside in the beer garden to have on a beautiful sunny day Customer service was awesome too , would strongly recommend 👍👍🍺
