Hampton Inn is one of my preferred hotels when it comes to domestic lodging. This particular location was a "mixed bag" of good and not so good. First the good! Plenty of seating in the breakfast area, convenient location to movies, theaters, the interstate and shopping. The shower was strong with plenty of hot water and there were adequate towels. The breakfast bar had no chopped fruit of any kind but did have some premade omelette squares, assorted breads, cereals etc. Now for the not so good - PARKING. Although they have little poster board signs up about how movie goers are not to park there it doesn't stop them. Not only were parking spaces hard to come by after going out to dinner but the parking lot was full of people yakking and socializing that were obvsiously going to or coming from the theater. I didn't have a great sense of safety about my vehicle because of this. It would be helpful to have more permanent signage, perhaps a dashboard paper parking certificate given at check in with towing policies on outdoor signage. The bed was awful. I expect better from Hampton Inn. It was a roll to the middle of our King bed and sleep was difficult as a result. If I returned to Wentzville I would look elsewhere mainly because of the parking issue but also that bed was truly bad.
