My wife and I and another couple spent three nights at the Alpine Chalet in June. We based our choice on reviews from this site and we weren't disappointed. A couple of things to know: the Alpine Chalet is small (8 rooms) and the rooms are small, much smaller than they appear on the inn's website. But they are nicely appointed. We only saw two other couples the entire time we were there, so it was awfully quiet - but I imagine during the hectic high ski season, it would be noisy. The inn is also about a mile away from the "village" of Whistler, which means it's a long walk there and back, particularly if you're doing any shopping in the village. So know what you're getting into. The inn is in a residential area of Whistler, which is a bit of a negative. In addition, there's not much of a view from the private balconies. But our experience was very good. Our hostess was top-notch. Breakfasts were plentiful and flavorful, and both the wives got massages there too (both said they were the best they've had). We'd recommend it, but we'd also encourage people to consider an alternative we did not consider at the time - finding a two-BR condo at or near the village.
