Our experience at the Days Inn, Winona Minnesota was very disappointing. After we checked in I read that a notice in the bathroom stated that towels and wash cloths would be changed every three days unless the desk was notified that a different schedule was needed. I immediately asked at the front desk that we receive clean towels, etc. on our second day there and the man behind the counter said it would not be a problem. After returning to the motel around 8PM the following evening we discovered that we had not received any new towels or wash cloths. In fact, the bed wasn't made, trash cans emptied, nothing. When I asked the front desk clerk why our room wasn't serviced I was told that they were never made aware that we had asked for the service! Imagine that. As for another problem with our room was the queen size bed. The mattress had a depression in the center due to wear/weak springs that required us to sleep on the edges of the mattress in order to not be trapped in a most uncomfortable position. We stayed at the Winona Days Inn while we attended a family members funeral. Can you imagine how we felt returning to the room to find our room not cleaned at all, no clean towels, and a very uncomfortable bed? I imagine our experiences with your motel may be justifiable to some, however when I spend good money for a room I expect the owners and managers of that room to provide the services they advertise. I write this review, not that I think it will survive the "delete" button of whoever reads it, but I want you to understand why I will not be staying at a Days Inn again in the future.
