Caution, deposit scam / Achtung Betrug One week before the start of the booking period, you will receive an SMS asking you to pay a deposit - if you don't, you won't get a room. After you vacate the room, it becomes very quiet. When asked, we were assured that they would have sent the deposit money "long ago". However, since no money arrived, we asked where the host sent the money. Now comes the trick: they supposedly "accidentally" transfer it to a "wrong account number". We provided our correct account information right at the beginning - the receipt of this information was simply ignored on purpose. First we were stalled for several weeks. The host's bank was "making an effort", soon there would be results, you should "be patient", the bank had contacted us, in short: you are being stalled for a certain period of time, we meanwhile a quarter of a year and several months. After that, all SMS are suddenly ignored and the money remains in the pockets of the host. Needless to say, in such a case, reputable hosts are still forced to send the deposit - even if they had made a mistake. Karolina, on the other hand, laughed at us several times, ignored us and keeps our money in her pocket. There are great hotels and hostels in Wroclaw that won't steal from you. Our vacation had a very costly aftermath - spare yourselves. Without wanting to be a detractor: The floor tiles in our room were badly damaged, to the point that going to the bathroom was an obscene adventure, and several times someone had to fix our plumbing and drains because they were a total failure. The rooms are much smaller than in the photos. After we brought this to Booking.com's attention, the hostess wrote us angry text messages threatening to "not help us get the money" if we didn't delete the review. I can strongly advise against being a guest here.
