Anagenessis Village

We were very surprised by the quality of this hotel given the positive reviews. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds. Our room was dated, not particularly clean and very basic - it did not have any drawers to store our clothes and flooded under the door when it rained. Breakfast had a good selection, but it was impossible to eat without the cats jumping up onto the table to steal food from your plate. They would not be deterred. The music from the Greek night party was very loud right outside our room until late. With young children, it was really inappropriate to be kept awake by 50 Cent’s explicit lyrics at just before midnight. The staff were less than supportive in dealing with this. There are so many far better hotels in Kalamaki.

This is a delightful hotel with the loviest family owners. We really enjoyed our stay here, very friendly, lovely pool area, very relaxing and peaceful. Breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant very good - fresh and delicious both at lunch and dinner. The room and balcony was huge and views from the balcony beautiful. Very short transfer from the airport which was ideal. We enjoyed the greek night which was on the friday and had a delicious buffet with greek dancing. Would definitely recommend it and thank you to the lovely owners for a lovely holiday.

The staff here were very friendly and helpful, the place and the surroundings are lovely, it's a place worth visiting. The downside is the breakfast is all cold, beans, eggs and sausages for example, but some people might not mind that, it just wasn't for me. There was a very good selection for breakfast considered the small area they had to use, and they used it very well indeed. The only real problem we had was that 4 of us staying in a one bedroom apartment had to share one wardrobe which is not possible, so 2 of us had to live out of our cases, as there were no chest of drawers, if they could change this, then it would be a lovely place to stay, behind the front door, there is ample space to put another wardrobe and this would help immensely. Overall I would recommend it, as it's a lovely place, we just had a few little niggles here and there, but we all still enjoyed our stay. Top marks for all the staff there, very helpful 👍

This was our second visit to this hotel. We came at same time last year and asked again for suit 408 this year, which they kindly provided. The staff remain friendly and helpful however we did notice that the cleaning is not to the standard of last year, maybe because of a change of cleaning staff. The floor of suit was generally very dusty however to be fair, this did change on our second week when they were washed it every day. Unlike some others we did not have any issues with changing of towels, they were always done when we left them on the floor like they request. The hot tub also did get a little "green" towards the end , but suspect the change of weather may have had some effect on it. We would suggest that the bath and shower unit needs replacing soon, it was looking its age . The real plus was the evening meals, we commented last year that a greater selection would be appreciated and they have gone out of their way to increase the choice of main evening meals. Thank you. The breakfast has a wide choice however the hot food is nearly always cold which is a shame. There is also a large cat community which have become a pain (if you are not keen on them) as they jump on your table when you are trying to eat, which is not good. The local restaurant Michaelos is a very good choice for a change of evening meal. All in all, the staff remain excellent and the hotel just needs a few little improvements .

A warm family ran hotel. Lots of little touches to make your stay special. Very clean and the food is perfect. The family are very proud of the hotel and they should be. We had a wonderful stay. Authentic, home cooked food mostly grown in the hotels land. Surrounded by olive trees. The hotel is ran very well and the staff are always on hand to talk, advise, arrange trips, cars and call a taxi. We felt very welcome and we would love to visit again. The pools are lovely and it’s only a few minutes to restaurants and beaches. Perfect. Away from the main area and all inclusive large hotels but near enough to get to things. Thank you for having us!

We booked a wonderful suite for 4 days. Our room was spotlessly cleaned in a daily basis, bed made and clean towels. The staff were so welcoming, assisting and friendly! Nothing was too much for them to ask, they were always eager to help and we really loved their company and energy. We enjoyed a rich breakfast with unlimited options of local delicacies most of them homemade, like jams, cakes, sweets and Greek pittas. It was really something else to try every morning! Dinner at the restaurant was also excellent, as expected. The pool was very clean and so was the hotel overall. On my next visit to Zante, it will definitely book it for my accommodation and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene vacation.
