MalisGarten Green Spa Hotel

We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel and really loved it. On arrival we were a bit sceptical because it’s located right by a street, but when entering the hotel the whole atmosphere brings one into a different world and one forgets about the surroundings completely. The whole building is made out of wood, which creates a very nice and calming room climate. We particularly liked the interior design and overall style of the building, very calming and great as a get away. We booked breakfast and dinner and really liked the food. Also spa area was very appealing with recommendable facial treatments. Surely a place we would come back to :)

Although we haven’t stayed here ourselves we have received wonderful service from them. Our very good friends had booked this hotel for their wedding anniversary and we wanted to surprise them by having a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for them in their room on arrival. We emailed the hotel hoping this could be arranged. Within an hour we received a telephone call from Calvin Schumbera at the hotel and he very enthusiastically explained that of course he could assist us and what our options were. We went with Calvins recommendation and paid over the phone. A receipt was immediately emailed to us. When our friends arrived they were absolutely thrilled with the surprise and sent us pictures immediately. We are looking forward to hearing all the details when they return home. Superb experience from start to finish the rooms are every bit as spectacular as the scenery. The staff could not do enough for you, and the food was incredible. I did not find the time to use the Spa or Gym but these both looked well equipped and of a higher standard than most would be used to. Would thoroughly recommend this to colleagues, friends and family. I cannot think of a single aspect of my 1 night stay that has any room for improvement 10/10

Words can’t explain the attention to detail experienced during this stay. Only regret being we could only stay for one evening. The attention to detail and design in the rooms and around the hotel was spectacular. The warm and friendly staff made you feel welcome from the minute you arrived to the minute you leave. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this region.

I stayed here almost a week in February and I most say that from the initial booking, upon arrival and to check out, this was one of the best experiences at a hotel I have had so far. This is how it shall be done! I stayed in the Bellis suite, and it had a wonderful view towards the mountains and garden. The spa with saunas and pools was the perfect after ski before sitting down at their restaurant that was also top notch. They also have heated ski-lockers with a separate entrance where you can leave your equipment to dry over night. I was solo travelling this year, but we will most definitely stay here with my wife next year! This place is suitable for couples and singels.

Malis Garten Schönes Hotel mit einigen Schwachstellen im Konzept, Einordnung als 4 Sterne superior wäre gerechtfertigt. Hotel und Lage: Sehr schöne Anlage, auch die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen mitten im Ort mit einem wunderschönen Garten und Blick in die grünen Berge. Das Gebäude mit seiner Holzstruktur und den Balkonen ist wunderschön anzusehen, auch der Eingangsbereich mit Bar ist schön gestaltet, vor allem das Beleuchtungskonzept verströmt in Kombination mit dem Holz sofort etwas heimeliges. Wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Suite: Auch diese ist komplett mit Holz ausgelegt und sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet, besonders das sehr komfortable Bett mit der hochwertigen kuscheligen Bettwäsche ist hervorzuheben. Allerdings kommen hier dann doch zu viele konzeptionelle Schwachstellen zu Tage: Weniger Spielerei und mehr Konzentration auf Praktikabilität hätte der Suite gut getan. Statt der überflüssigen Sprossenwand zum Beispiel Haken im Zimmer. Der geräumige Eingangsbereich bietet keinerlei Möglichkeit nasse Jacken aufzuhängen, welche man vielleicht nicht einfach zu den Kleidern auf die Stange im offenen Kleiderschrank hängen möchte. Auch für die Bademäntel gibt es keine Möglichkeit, oder aber für die Handtücher, da es nur 2 Haken im Badebereich gibt und nein, die nasse Duschkabine ist keine gute Idee. In der Nähe der Badewanne gibt es keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeit. Der Balkon ist toll und groß, ich gehe davon aus, dass im Sommer dort auch Liegestühle stehen und nicht nur 2 Stühlchen und ein Tisch, denn sonst wäre er leider ziemlich useless. Das als Biodynamisch angepriesene Temperatursystem ist zentral gesteuert (+1-1 Grad stellt keine individuelle Steuerung dar) und leider alles andere als dynamisch, sondern statisch. Wenn man, wie wir gerne kalt schläft, bleibt es im Zimmer auch kalt, vor allem das offene Badekonzept ohne wärmere Zone ist dann ein Nachteil. Weder die beheizbare Bank in der Dusche noch die Wärmeplatte für die Handtücher wurden in den 4 Tagen wirklich warm. Klasse der Dyson Fön, selten in einem Hotel erlebt. Wellnessbereich: Dieser Bereich ist eher klein, aber da es sich um ein adults only Hotel handelt OK. Die Priorität liegt auf Kälte, es gibt eine Kältekabine, kaltes Tauchbecken, Eis und auch der Pool ist zapfig kalt. Die Dampfsauna bleibt im unteren Bereich auch kühl. Nur die Holzsaunen sind warm. Die Zuteilung von 2 Handtüchern pro Person ist für die Hotelkategorie nicht entsprechend, zumal es in den Ruheräumen auch keine weiteren Möglichkeiten, wie Laken gibt um die Liegestühle abzudecken, also wird es knapp für Duschen, Baden, Sauna, Haarewaschen und Unterlage, schade. Überhaupt sind Serviceleistungen, welche in einer 5Sterne Superior Kategorie eine Selbstverständlichkeit sind, hier nur nach proaktiver Anfrage erhältlich. Das spart natürlich für das Hotel Marge ein, da viele dann lieber verzichten.
