A small tip for future guests — if you want the scenic view of the beautiful Kandy Lake, book the Superior Room, as the Deluxe Room faces the road. Also, take note that after 11:30 PM there is no room service, and food delivery platforms may not be available either due to closures or limited riders/drivers at night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great experience."

O lado positivo é que o preço era razoável e o quarto estava limpo. No fim das contas, minha experiência foi esquecível — este é o tipo de lugar do qual não me lembrarei minutos depois de ir embora."

"This is a delightful hotel, set up in the hills around Kandy It takes about 20 minutes to drive up to the hotel, but it was really nice being out of the busy city. There are stunning views at the hotel and the pool area was delightful , but the pool itself was cool. . The afternoon tea is complimentary here and exceptional. The food and wine was also a really high quality. My daughter really enjoyed doing the hike through the tea plantation with the resident nature guide. Our room was the master suite and it was divine with its own private garden. At night time hot water bottles were provided as the temperature can drop. The hotel itself is an old plantation bungalow . All the staff were very attentive."

"Another fantastic stay in the best hotel in Kandy. This hotel is very beautiful and has the best pool in Sri Lanka! From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel like a VIP. The rooms are lovely, very clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms could have the bath removed and just a shower but this does not detract from the loveliness of this hotel. The food in the restaurant is excellent with good choices. One night we had Buffett and the second night a set menu. Breakfast was always buffet and if you wanted something that was not there, the staff obliged by bringing it to you. I cannot recommend all the staff highly enough but must give a shoutout to Indika and Lahiru, who both went the extra mile for our group. A sincere thank you! The only criticism I have of this property is the wifi. It was very slow. This hotel has spectacular views over the river. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Make sure you choose it for your next visit to Kandy!"

"It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together."

"Our stay at The Summit Kandy was one of the most memorable hotel experiences of our Sri Lanka trip. The first thing that impressed us was the location and breathtaking views. Perched high above Kandy, the property feels completely removed from the busy city below. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful, green, and beautiful. Waking up to the scenery and simply sitting back and enjoying the view was an experience in itself. The property has a very special atmosphere — quiet, elegant, private, and surrounded by nature. After travelling around Sri Lanka and spending long days exploring, coming back to The Summit Kandy felt like a proper escape. The room was comfortable, clean, beautifully maintained, and had the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and stay longer. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged, and the overall property has a very refined but relaxing character. The hospitality was another highlight. The staff were warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful without being intrusive. You could feel that they actually cared about making the stay enjoyable rather than simply providing a standard hotel service. The food was also very enjoyable, and having a meal while surrounded by those incredible views made the experience even better. The combination of good food, peaceful surroundings, and the scenery is something we will remember. What I particularly loved about The Summit Kandy is that it doesn’t feel like you’re simply staying at a hotel in Kandy. It feels like you’re staying in a beautiful private retreat overlooking the hills. Good value for money. If you’re visiting Kandy and looking for somewhere peaceful with spectacular views and excellent hospitality, I would highly recommend The Summit Kandy. A beautiful property, wonderful people, incredible views, and a genuinely memorable stay. 🇨🇦🇧🇩🇱🇰❤️ Definitely one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. 10/10."
