The cumulus clouds on the horizon, once the pale blue of an ink painting, now appear as if doped with molten gold foil, their edges shimmering with a coppery halo. I set up my tripod on the beach and focused my lens on the blazing arc where the sea meets the sky—the sun's final curtain call before sinking below the horizon."
