Breakfast wasn't an afterthought either; it featured exquisite dishes, plus freshly ground coffee available all day! Finally, I want to say: this place redefined the meaning of a 'B&B' for me—it's not just a place to sleep for a night, but a warm and comfortable experience, like visiting an old friend's home. Upon entering, I was greeted by a thoughtfully prepared welcome amenity: a local fruit platter and two pots of warm, nourishing sweet soup, which instantly melted away my travel fatigue. The room itself was equally well-appointed, featuring a double-sink bathroom, a separate walk-in closet, and soft, skin-friendly bedding. The hotel's dining also didn't disappoint. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. Steigenberger's biggest trump card, however, is its exclusive VIP access channel directly into the scenic area. It's just about a three-minute walk to enter the park, bypassing the long queues at the East Gate. This means you can flexibly plan your visit – head in at 7:30 AM to beat the crowds, and before tour groups arrive, you can enjoy the tranquility of Wolongtan and the morning mist over the ancient bridge all to yourself. "Traveling with my elderly parents, we stayed here for two consecutive nights. Since we had plenty of time, we explored the entire town and ultimately felt this place was the best choice. Firstly, it's incredibly quiet. The B&B is backed by a mountain, and our room faced it, ensuring a peaceful nap and a good night's sleep. Secondly, the location is very convenient. It's just a three to five-minute walk to the East Gate entrance of Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, probably among the closest guesthouses. Thirdly, it's very clean. They solely operate as a B&B, so there's no restaurant downstairs. Many guesthouses have restaurants on the ground floor, which compromises the quiet and cleanliness. The owner isn't very talkative but is very responsive."
