"First, let's talk about the hygiene. Three stink bugs had been lying on the table and windowsill for who knows how long, and no one had come to "collect" them. The floor was sticky with something I stepped on! The hotel facilities were even more bizarre. The mattresses were upside down! We booked a business family room with twin beds. Our child complained that the large bed was hard as soon as he lay down, but we didn't think much of it. However, my wife couldn't sleep until 3 AM, finally waking me up from the small bed. I lay down on their bed and saw clearly defined steel wires across my back. At first, I thought the mattress had sagged, but after checking repeatedly, I discovered the mattress label was upside down, leading me to suspect the mattresses were being used backwards! What I found most unacceptable was the hotel front desk's service attitude. I called to report the mattress problem and clearly told her that the mattress might be on backwards, making it impossible to sleep. However, her response over the phone was that she couldn't move the mattress by herself at this hour, and she could only provide an extra blanket for the night. I thought that if the mattress was really on backwards, I could help her move it, but since my child is still developing, I couldn't just leave it like that. So I asked her to come to the room to take a look. When she came to the room, she just lightly touched the bed and then told me with a perfunctory smile that the room was fully booked and she couldn't change rooms, and could only provide an extra blanket. Since we had booked for three nights from May 1st to May 4th, we couldn't just make do like that for three nights if the room was always full. So she said she would go downstairs to call the manager and left. I settled my child and partner in the small bed and went downstairs as well. When I got to the front desk, I didn't see any staff or hear her talking to the manager. So I called her out from the lounge behind the front desk and asked her about the communication. She told me that she couldn't contact the manager. I asked her, "Does that mean you can't solve the problem if you can't contact him?" The answer was a curt "Yes!" I pressed further, asking if we'd have to make do for three nights if the hotel was fully booked, and the reply was still a curt "Yes!" I said I'd call the police if they didn't resolve the issue, as I couldn't sleep, and again, the curt reply was "Go ahead and call!" The police arrived, investigated, took evidence from the room, and told us how to proceed with our rights. That's how we ended up spending the whole night! The next day, the manager came, apologized, and waived the room fee. She even flipped the mattress over herself—it was hilarious! The manager, a woman, wasn't as strong as the receptionist from the night before, and told me the mattress was very light and flipping it over effortlessly! I had hoped for a pleasant May Day holiday in Longkou, but instead, after a grueling 12-hour drive, we were greeted with a sleepless night of fighting for our rights at this hotel!"
