As for food, we didn’t quite get accustomed to the flavors, especially with the spices. The breakfast at Julong Hotel was good, but it can get crowded before 8 am. There is no gym in the hotel. It snowed on the 3rd day and it was chilly. The room was equiped with heater so it was ok. The walkway outside the hotel room can be very noisy, especially with kids running and adults talking. Otherwise, the overall experience was good."

Knowing I was traveling with a child and luggage, she met us at the bus drop-off point, helped me carry my bags the entire way, and even helped me plan an efficient route for visiting the temples. The hotel's design is truly beautiful; the first floor features a courtyard, a pond, and a scripture-copying room, creating a perfect space to clear your mind. The food is also delicious, and the vegetarian dishes tasted just like homemade. I will definitely be back!"

While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is exquisitely prepared and very distinctive, like dried bamboo shoot noodles, chicken soup fried rice, and ciba (glutinous rice cakes). The butler service is very attentive and personalized. We signed up for a qingtuan (green dumpling) making activity, participating from picking mugwort to the final steaming, which was an amazing experience. The hotel even gave us a wild scallion scrambled egg dish; we gathered the eggs ourselves from the chicken coop and dug up the wild scallions from the ground. When the fragrant wild scallion scrambled eggs were served, the feeling of satisfaction was indescribable. This season is truly when the hotel is at its most beautiful. I highly recommend everyone come and experience it!"
