"After an overnight flight from San Francisco, I hadn't slept at all. I was staying for three consecutive nights and specifically asked the front desk if I could check in early. My request wasn't accepted or even acknowledged; they didn't even bother to check if there were any clean, available rooms, simply responding that check-in was guaranteed at 4 PM, not 9 AM. The hotel has some history (which I quite appreciated during my three-day stay) and is in a very good, relatively safe location. During my stay, I reported to the front desk twice that the WiFi wasn't connecting and frequently disconnected (no improvements were made; they just smiled and said no one else had reported this issue, showing no proactive effort to address customer feedback). The hotel offers a paid cruise shuttle service (USD 15 per person), which is quite convenient."

"Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The room was freezing when I arrived, and the heater was so old it barely worked. I ended up calling the front desk several times between 9–11 PM just to get a portable heater, which was really frustrating. On top of that, the room didn’t feel clean and was very outdated. There were even mosquitoes, which was the last thing I expected in April. A lot of things were clearly not maintained—the shower head, the plugs, and other parts of the room just didn’t seem properly fixed. The sink barely had any water pressure, and the windows wouldn’t fully close, so you could hear all the street noise (even with earplugs). Flushing the toilet was unbelievably loud, honestly louder than launching a rocket. The power also cut out right after I used the hair dryer, which just added to the overall experience. Parking was expensive and not very convenient when it came to getting to the rooms. The only positives were the great location, a nice view, and decent breakfast. But overall, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it."

"Everything went as planned, easy to check in, had water bottles ready for us, bagged ice was different but maybe better then ice machines without good maintenance. Breakfast was very good. Location is great for princess cruise dock. Will consider this our new home hotel for all of our Alaska Cruises. Wish I was on a higher room for possible bay view to see the ships come in if at all possible. We were on the second floor which says bay view but all we saw was the building across the street and a space between them for a small portion of the bay."
