"I heard this is a new hotel line opened by Evergreen, so I decided to give it a try. I was going to see the musical 'COMPANY' at the Taichung National Theater, and the hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from the theater, which was incredibly convenient. There's also Tiger City shopping mall and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store nearby, making it easy to shop and eat. If you're using a uBike, it might be a bit awkward as the return station is a little far. The hotel has a boutique hotel layout; the room isn't huge but perfectly functional. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet. If you're on a business trip and sharing a room with a colleague, you'll want to be aware that the shower stall is glass, so you can see each other clearly. Even more importantly, the curtain control is outside the shower... hahaha, quite amusing. Breakfast is served at the CCG cafe on the first floor. A la carte guests get a discount, but there's no discount if you order brunch. The mattress is incredibly comfortable, one of the best I've slept on – not too soft, not too hard. The pillows include memory foam and others specifically designed to support the cervical spine. Excellent! My room was on the second floor, near the elevator, and I didn't hear any outside noise all night. Either no one else was staying on the floor, or the soundproofing is superb. The top floor has a lounge with self-serve coffee, tea bags, sparkling water, and a vending machine where you can buy snacks, instant noodles, toothbrush sets, razors, sanitary pads... In other words, even if you arrive in Taichung without anything, you won't have to worry about not having emergency supplies. Basically, if you're going to see a show at the Taichung National Theater, this is my top choice for an overnight stay."
