"When I booked this hotel, I was drawn to the in-room capsule coffee machine, so I even brought my own coffee pods. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival! The location is fantastic, right by the Haihe River at the Jingang Bridge intersection, offering beautiful night views. Popular restaurants are all within walking distance. The room was clean and bright, and the bathroom was super spacious with a three-part separation. Both the laundry room and gym were fully equipped. The buffet breakfast also had freshly ground coffee, so I enjoyed a satisfying espresso."

"Hotel is new and it’s near to 2 subway stations. Can easily walk to 五大道。Love the hotel view and everything is high tech including heated seat, dimming of lights, auto open/close curtain etc. very comfortable bed and after every house keeping, they will give 4 bottles of water and 2 gassy water. Can take more water from front desk when you need one. Food delivery is by robot. Breakfast is at level 9 with variety of food. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"Hotels, as an indispensable part of any trip, are more than just a place to stay; they create exclusive memories, embodying culture, charm, and flavor. They're like an ambassador of the city – a good hotel makes you smile with gratitude when you close your eyes and recall your trip. The Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe is precisely one such hotel. Everyone we met was so warm, truly going above and beyond to surprise and delight us. 1️⃣ **Location:** The hotel is conveniently located near Ancient Culture Street, the Italian Style Area, Wanghailou Church, and Runzeyuan. It’s an easy 10-minute walk or a quick taxi ride (about 10-something RMB). 2️⃣ **View:** The river view rooms offer excellent vistas. At night, the neon lights on both sides of the Haihe River reflect beautifully, and boats glide across the water, creating a stunning scene. A heads-up: not all rooms have balconies with openable doors, so you might want to confirm this when booking. 3️⃣ **Room:** River view rooms start from 60 square meters and include a balcony. The first round of mini-bar drinks is complimentary. There’s a spacious sofa, perfectly comfortable for an extra person to sleep on. For just over 1,000 RMB a night, the value for money is excellent! 4️⃣ **Service:** Every single staff member at the Banyan Tree was polite, friendly, warm, and enthusiastic. When one of the sinks in our room was a bit clogged, they not only promptly fixed it but also sent a fruit platter as an apology. Mineral water was replenished very promptly; seeing that we were a larger group (3 adults and 1 child), they even left seven or eight bottles, making it convenient for the child. We brought a swimming ring but forgot the pump, and surprisingly, the pool area had one, which solved our problem! The hotel offers transfer services: a round trip from Tianjin Station to the hotel costs ¥80, and a one-way trip is ¥50. While slightly more expensive than a private car, the hotel uses large, clean, and comfortable business vans. Since we had a baby with us, the hotel graciously extended our check-out time. 5️⃣ **Facilities:** When traveling with children, besides choosing a five-star hotel, we typically look for rooms over 60 square meters and a kids' club. While the Banyan Tree's kids' club isn't huge and lacks toy cars, the upside is that it was empty! The benefit of traveling during off-peak times meant our child had the entire club to themselves.👏👏👏 The swimming pool area has two heated pools, which are more than enough for kids to play in, and the adult pool water was very clean. Ordering takeout was super easy, with a robot delivering food directly to the room. I must particularly commend the front door staff. Every time we took a taxi, they would open the car door, handle our luggage, fold the stroller – they did everything they could. We left something behind, and they brought it out to us on a luggage trolley, very professional. Although the room decor isn't brand new, overall, it's very clean, with an extra-large bathtub. They even provided multiple charging adapters, mosquito repellent, and corner protectors, showing great attention to detail. 6️⃣ **Features:** The hotel's main theme is Zen. There's a dedicated meditation space. I absolutely loved the hotel's signature fragrance – it smells very high-end, and the scent of the hand lotion lingered for a long time; I even wanted to buy a bottle to take home. ❇️ **Minor point:** If I had to find a fault, it would be that while the artwork in the rooms is Zen-inspired, the dark tones could be adjusted to create a warmer atmosphere. 💕 If you're visiting Tianjin with your little one, I highly recommend the Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe. It will definitely add an extra layer of joy to your wonderful memories! Grateful for the experience! ❤️"

The floor-to-ceiling windows all around offer unobstructed cityscapes during the day and a magical atmosphere with countless lights at night. We arrived early, and they had a vacant room cleaned for us, so we were able to check in at noon. The package also included two tickets to a crosstalk show, which we enjoyed. Super value for money!"

"Location: Let's start with the hotel's location – it's absolutely unbeatable! Situated right on Jinwan Square, there's a subway station directly outside, and Jiefang Bridge is just a few steps away, making getting around incredibly convenient. It's one of those rare places that's bustling downstairs but still remarkably quiet in the rooms – truly a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. Cleanliness: The room was clean, but it also served as a reminder: never, ever book a windowless room! 🤣 Not only is it cramped and stuffy, but due to poor ventilation, the floor drain started emitting a sewage smell. I didn't notice it when I checked in, but by the time I returned to the hotel at night, there was a very distinct damp, musty odor. Service: I really have to commend the hotel's service; it was truly excellent. Late at night, almost 11 PM, I decided to request a room change. The front desk attendant was incredibly patient. She helped me check for available rooms, and even though it was the May Day holiday and rooms were scarce, she actually showed me the room first so I could make an informed decision. I ended up upgrading to a membership and switching to a king room with a bathtub, and it instantly felt so much better! Facilities: Even though it was quite late after all the hassle, I still enjoyed a wonderfully comfortable hot bath. It was so relaxing and pleasant – perfect!"

"The location is superb, facing the Haihe River, with a garden across the road behind it, and the Ritz-Carlton on one side of the garden. From the hotel, it's about a 20-minute walk to Da Kuo Seafood and Kiessling Restaurant, one for seafood and the other for Western cuisine, both renowned in Tianjin. Across the road from Kiessling is Xiaobailou (White House). From Xiaobailou, heading north, you'll find Wudadao (Five Avenues), with numerous century-old Western-style buildings all around. In the evening, a stroll along the Haihe River is delightful – with twinkling lights, a gentle breeze, the quiet flow of the river, and gulls soaring over the water. It's truly enjoyable! The Astor Hotel has a history of 163 years, with Sun Yat-sen, Zhou Enlai, Puyi, Wanrong, and many other famous figures having stayed or visited. The grand hotel also boasts a considerable museum with many old artifacts, well worth seeing. The interior of the hotel is very well-designed. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary photoshoot with a few photos in Republican-era style makeup, and anywhere you stand makes for a great shot. The room is grand, the bathroom is huge and has a bathtub where you can set up a pad to watch shows while soaking – they've really thought of everything for their guests. Although the room rate was expensive during the Spring Festival, it was still excellent value. I suggest staying on weekdays for even better value for money."

"The hotel staff are very friendly, hotel lobby smells amazing, there is a gym on the 2nd floor, laundry room on the same floor is open 24/7, and the rooms are pretty clean. Breakfast serves decent food though mostly Chinese style cuisine like (tianjin buns, jian bing, they also have porridge, soup noodles, bread & butter, fruits, coffee and yogurt etc) the front desk ladies also kindly helped us extend our check out for a few hours. They also gave us water bottles free of charge upon request. The beds are soft, bathrooms are clean with complete amenities, shampoo and body wash, hairdryer’s available, the room also has nice big window where you can sit by and look outside. The exterior of the hotel looks very bright with many lights and the hotel name clearly written on top for easier navigation. The lobby also connects to a cafe for coffee lovers and has rental power-bank stations incase your phone run out of battery. The location of the hotel is in he ping Lu, very close to many tourist spots, the closest one being the 5th avenue 五大道. Overall amazing experience 10/10 would recommend, made our stay in tianjin much smoother! ⭐️"
